I need help identifying the Tree in the photos
Comments (10)Thanks for the feedback. But, I think I am still looking for the correct name of the tree, as well as an answer to it whether it is common for this kind of tree to be dropping so many leaves in May/June....See MoreI need help identifying this oak tree. Photo in Gallery.
Comments (4)The leaves look very similar to a lot of the Live Oaks (Quercus fusiformis) Sp? so often growing in Texas. If not that the other Oak I have rarely seen that looks similar to your description and posted leaf photos is the Q. ilex, which some web sites list as the Holm oak or evergreen oak. If your tree is not either one of those two oaks, I wonder if the tree you saw might be some form of naturalized cross between those two oaks...See MoreI need help identifying this tree
Comments (5)Thanks for the reply, Patty. I have taken your suggestion and I'm currently looking into calamondins. I am not quite sure why my mother told us not to eat the fruit. I always assumed that it wasn't edible, but over the years that theory never made sense to me. My most logical assumption is she simply didn't want us messing around with it. My parents bought this on an anniversary trip within the first few years of their marriage, so it's more of a family member than anything else. I was nominated by family to care for it, so i figured it was time to find out as much information as possible about it....See MoreNeed help identifying this pest & what else may be eating my plum tree
Comments (4)I think the damages on the leave look like the work of worms/caterpillars. Many work during the night. If you go out with a flashlight, you may catch them in action. Hope you compare those bugs with pictures of ladybug's stages. Floral is probably right....See MoreKathleen Marineau
