Ken, I can't say for Larch, but we have had a couple shrubs that the same basic thing happened to. In short they never rooted properly on that side again. IMHO, even it it re-roots on that side, it will always be less than it needs to be. Lets say this plant lost 30% of it's root system when it lost them on that side. So the plant must replace 30% of it's root mass. If all that was on the one side, then great, but that is not what's going to happen. Instead the SOS signal will go out to grow roots, all roots, until the 30% are replaced. But the replacement will be over the entire root system. So for that side at most you would have is 30% x 30%, or 9% of the root system in the area that had 30% of the root system before. Result an always poorly root tree on the side that lost roots, and almost certain eventual failure. This ignores delays in rooting due to having to push new root buds from that side, while roots continue to grow on the rest of the root system, IF it pushes new roots from that side at all. From the trees POV, it has all these other roots that are growing that can just take up all the slack, and therefore no new roots are needed on that side. So IMHO, remove it, and replace when possible, or go in a different direction. Arktrees

Learn to wash your hair correctly. I take out half of new shampoo and put it in another bottle. The fill them both up with water. The NEXT day wash your hair only with a bit of conditioner. Because your hair isn't dirty. Then the next day again the diluted shampoo. Like WEN shampoo that is on television all the time, he will tell you it doesn't suds up ;) Then once a week put cheap Mayo on your hair. If hair is very dry or over colored use olive oil at the end of each day for 3 days. Always put on a plastic bag to bundle it up it up then aluminum foil tightly over that to heat your hair. It doesn't matter which - olive oil (for real dry hair), coconut oil or mayo you use you should keep it on for 2 hours or over night. Whatever time you have. When you wash it out follow this rule. Put the undiluted shampoo or diluted on your hair and let it cut the grease. If you put water on first you will never get it out. Then add water. Do you feel it is still there? Then add shampoo only on the areas that you feel it. Yes , you will have clean shiny hair that has recovered. And, there is no reason to buy shampoo and hair products at the salon. I use Pantene products as my preference for years but that's just me.

Yes, that is what I figured...For you, you have go very light on fertilizing and even more important to use a very porous mix, one with mostly bark. Here s why...With temps that hot, the roots shut down. They in fact will not take up moisture and then to make things worst, the salts in your water quickens the death rate of your finer roots which do all the work. Once your roots over heat, they drown in a mix like that even in the hot sun. It is a bad effect. Stop fertilizing until you can find a way to cool the roots down. I would set your trees to get only morning or late afternoon sun or under a tree in dabbled light. once you do this the roots will cool. Once the roots cool, they will repair themselves and then grow again allowing the top growth to accelerate. Once they do this they will be hungry and then it will be safe to fertilize without burning them too. Can you place your pot directly into the ground until your temps cool off? In a nutshell, I'll bet if you find a way to keep the roots cooler by taking them out of direct HOT sun by day until your weather starts to cool down, your trees will give you amazing growth. It's all about the roots) P.s...It's not too late to re pot, ever, not this time of the year as long as you do it right and keep your trees out of direct hot sun until the roots work properly again. Many have no issues at all placing their tree right back into sunlight after a re pot like me, but I would suggest to be better safe than sorry just in case your re pot is one that your tree did not like)
