We'll be cheering for the Patriots!! We are going to a friend's house to watch it on thier tv. I will probably bring aztec bean dip,yum, with tortilla chips. We won't be watching Tom Petty though....a few years ago we started a tradition that a leftover christmas tree gets burned during the half time....let me tell ya, they burn pretty well by Feb. Its pretty funny, the boys all stand around the tree in the snow and make attempts at "lighting" the tree, and then eventually whoosh...and half-times over. GO PATS!!

Joyful, I think it would have been about 6:30 PM starting time Eastern. I had no interest in it this year. This year it was one of those games where I would like to see both teams lose. I didn't even turn on the TV until about 9PM. I went to Menards and picked up a bunch of bargains. I knew it would be a good time to go to the stores. When I was in retail it would be packed until the game starts then pretty empty. I didn't get going until about 6 and when I pulled into the lot I thought, oh shoot, they must close at 6 on Sundays instead of 8 as I thought! But no, it was that empty. Took me until closing time to get everything, get checked out and a couple of the employees helped me get the rebate slips and then one of the employees helped me bring the stuff to my vehicle and load it! Granted it was so he could bring the cart back in - obviously they wanted to get finished and go home - can't blame them for that. He was real friendly. Said I was one of "about 10 customers" in there this evening! I told him I used to be in retail and knew it was a good time to shop. And AFAIC the commercials have gotten worse over the years so it's not worth watching for them. Plus you usually see them played over and over on the news the next few days and I suppose if there's a good one someone will be posting a few threads on it and I can watch it on the internet! :)

Thanks for the link, Rob. I'm wading my way through them now. I like Liam Neeson's commercial. I'm not a gamer, but I like Liam Neeson. :-) Oh, was that Pac Man? I couldn't figure out any it. Didn't know what he was doing in that maze. LOL Amy Purdy's Toyota commercial was inspiring--although I was not inspired to buy a Toyota. I'm not a NASCAR fan, but the commercial was fun. "Like a Girl" makes a good point. My dad taught me to throw a ball "like a boy" when I was a kid. Much later, a woman said, "He taught you to throw a ball properly." Mindy Kaling was funny. One of these days I'd like to see her show. Is it a network show? I got a kick out of the Katie Couric/Bryant Gumble ad for BMW. I used to watch them on The Today Show way back when. She mentioned in an interview recently that she drives an Audi. But her husband has a BMW. Any idea who's singing "I'm in the Mood for Love" on the Victoria's Secret commercial? Okay, I'll go watch some more now. ;-)

Do you have an overhead cab plan with measurements? It's impossible to say whether you have adequate aisles, whether you can go with a larger island, etc, without knowing what your clearances are. Do you really need that much refrigerator/freezer space? You wrote that you entertain often so perhaps you do, but they do dominate that wall. Really assess your needs and see if you can shrink them to give you more counter for your beverage center, which looks chopped up with the bar sink in the middle. Also, if you intend this to be used when you entertain, you may be better off with the fridge/freezer columns closest to the cook top wall and moving the bar sink and beverage center towards the (assuming, can't read the above image very well) family room. One last thought for now: I'd get rid of the walls at each end of the fridge run. You'd gain 9" more to use (assuming standard 4.5" thick walls) for counter and storage. And if you move the beverage center to the left end, it will no longer be hemmed in by a wall.
