Speaking of purple/mauve, does anyone grow 'Hippolyte'?

So, I'm downsizing and purchasing more old roses. Ha. Ha. Only an antique rose forum would get the logic behind this maneuver. I've been passing along oodles and making a short list of the few that I would like to have forever. Predictably, three purple antiques made the grade: 'Cardinal de Richelieu,' 'Veilchenblau,' and probably 'Hipolyte'. I may also splurge on another purple Paul Barden rose at some point. It's so interesting how we change and grow alongside our gardens, isn't it? Even 15 years ago, I was still very focused on remontancy. Now I'm content with my special once-bloomers, and I leave the second act to my few Austins and hybrid musks alongside hydrangeas and such. I never spray, and my roses have to be resistant to all evils and fairly waterwise. The antiques are generous and easy to live with, fragrant and oh-so-purple! Thanks in advance for any 'Hippolyte' feedback you can offer. Photos would be icing on the cake! Carol
