Yes for a while several of you were bragging on the Sunlight and now not a word. Did you just stop using it or decide it wasn't as hot as it seemed at the start?

Like that bottle too. Do any of you ever use Sunlight DW Detergent?

sparky I have the Sunlight DW liquid and I use it for pre-wash. NOT a fan but I'm gonna use it up then never again!

I bought Sunlight DW pacs one time and they were in blue pacs. Well it left flecks of blue plastic on some dishes after washing so I started cutting them open and pouring in the cup till I got rid of those. That was way back

Sparky I do still like the Sunlight..by the way Alex the Sunlight is manufactured in Canada....anyway Sparky lol...there's just always something new to try, but I reach for the Sunlight sometimes, it pairs really nicely with Mrs Meyers Lemon Verbena FS. I still don't get any suds with this though no matter how much I use, but the water feels very slippery with around 1/3 cup. I've used the Sunlight hand dish liquid because its lemon scented, and like it, but its hard to find around here.

Oh yes, I do notice the similarity now. Cool! I will give that a shot on some sheets. I think it could work well in that application.

Results are back on first load using the Persil caps. Very nice! I must admit that nothing in this load was overly soiled -- mainly just towels and undershirts -- but everything came out dazzling white. And the scent, as to be expected, is delightful. I have been buying Euro Persil POWDER for quite some time now but the scent in the caps reminds me much more of the Euro Megaperls. They are all similar and in the same family of fragrance, but I wonder if anyone else has noticed this. They are quite nice and I'll probably buy some to use with heavy loads. I had no sudsing problems and it rinsed very clean (like all Persils do for me).

Glad you had good results with the Caps Alex. They are an excellent choice for a TOL detergent in the US, otherwise its Tide. I personally find these better than Tide Pods. I'm surprised that there's not more people here using and commenting on how good these preform and smell, but maybe the price has set some people from buying them. They arnt cheap but IMO worth every cent. There are small bags for around 5--6 bucks for those that don't want to commit to a large/pricier container.

Enjoy Alex. I am really, really loving the Persil Pro-Caps. For me, I must only use them in very large loads and keep the temp. at 130F or under, or else the suds border on my own I Love Lucy episode, LOL. The scent and performance are almost unmatched by ANY other detergent!!

Yeah Mama.....I am very stoked about that box of Cascade dishwasher powder. How you even have this still is amazing and magical!!!

Our Laundry Room is just so incredible. The friends we've made and our own Community is actually phenomenal!

Larsi, I found a small corner mom and pops grocery several blocks from a super walmart..that's where I found the Cascade, the boxes were in mint condition and the cascade free flowing..I took them home and wrapped in large ziplocks than in air tight space bags. But I've been known to go into large grocery stores, not walmarts, get on the floor and with a small flashlight from my housekey chain search behind shelves..LOL. I've gotton strange looks and even ask *are you ok* where I promply reply * probably not*. My boys are very good at doing the Mamapinky squat and search now and have found tons of children's lost toys LOL. I'll get your box in the mail hopefully tomorrow along with Jeans and Rocs.

Update: I had a chance to use the Vintage Cascade with Dawn powder (which includes phosphates). What separates this from the Cascade Fryer Boilout many are using is this is ENZYME based whereas boilout is of course BLEACH based.

Results: For my level of soil and my machine, this blew Cascade Fryer Boilout out of the water. The inside of my DW still sparkled like it did after Boilout, but the dishes were much cleaner, and my stainless steel pans and silverware were also spotless. I wish this powder could still be found! No idea whether this works on par or better than my beloved Cascade Platinum pacs, but it's awfully good -- and you can control dose since it's in powder form.
