Comments (2)Thanks! I looked at some images listed under Baptisia, and that is indeed what I've got. Odd that I don't see it at the various stores. vince...See MoreWatch the Bördy! Or garden gadgets and tools
Comments (4)One tool that I have that I absolutely love is a child's rake. When I first started gardening, 12 years ago, I was frustrated because many of the tools were too large for me (I'm only 5 feet tall). A hand rake is too short. So I saw these tools in Home Depot and I bought the rake. It's the perfect length for me and the smaller head is great for raking around roses and spreading compost and mulch. I hope it never breaks because I've looked but can't find another one anywhere....See MoreNew Vivax concern
Comments (10)If the culms are putting out leaves, and the culms are not discolored, it sounds like it just needs some pampering. It may have had some winter damage if there was got cold and in the pot. However, pictures would help to confirm that that is the case. You can go to the top of the messages listing in this forum and click on the "Gallery" button. Once there you can upload images - one per message - and repost in your original message thread that the picutures are in the Gallery. Or you can join a free online storage service, like Photobucket.com, and transfer the photos there and copy the HTML code and paste it into your message for direct viewing. One other thing about your bamboo: like all vivax species it has thin walls and can be broken if you have snow loading in the winter. I go out and shake mine off once or twice a year in the winter when we get out rare snowfall....See MoreToday's Trip to a local Nursery.
Comments (10)Rita, I have 2 Better Boy tomatoe plants in pots, so far.I usually plant 3 and some times 4 plants in pots.I have to watch them close and keep them sprayed with stinky stuff to keep the deer from eating them, too. I bought a pk of Purple verbena and made 2 hanging baskets with them.I had went to find some wave Petunia's but, they didn't have any yet.I had planned to go out this afternoon and see if they had them yet,, then go b y Home Depot and get a couple bags of Cow Manure, but, thanks to the statin drugs, this afternoon as I was getting ready to go,I became Blind in one eye and was afraid to go out, thinking I will be in a mess if suddenly both eyes go out on me..So, I stayed home, and the one eye has not cleared up yet.Its happened before a few months ago, back in January I think, and I quit taking that medicine, and seen a new Dr 2 weeks ago, that insisted on putting me on a different medicine,Crestor, in the very lowest dose, and I went ahead and been taking it for 11 days. So much for that one, too. I want to see if I can find that Greensand here, and see what it is, how expensive, etc.. Jean...See Morebarbmock
