Hi Esther, No offset on mine yet. I am hoping it will make one this summer. There is a small plant in the pot too, but it is a completely separate plant. This one will keep making more leaves for years and eventually trail . It would be good in a hanging basket. It needs to be out of the way though, I don't want to bump into it!

Kara Thank you!!! that's it. I was headed out to the nursery to just buy it, saw your link @ Dave's and read Palmbob's comment. If he's had issue with this species and he's more knowledgeable and experienced than i am, what would my chances be? lol. Waterwise botanicals has a new cultivar of the "Santa Rita" called the "Pinta Rita," which they say flowers more readily. Despite the common name, eastern red cedar IS a juniper.......Juniperus virginiana. The sample on the left is definitely a juniper. The one on the right could possibly be one as well (a different species) or perhaps a Thuja. Would need more details and full tree photos to attempt a specific ID.
