Garden Design - Raised Beds Help

Natalie Carter

Hi everyone! I am a very keen gardener wanting to grown a lot of my own vegetables and salad, although I am young my disabilities make it very difficult to bend down. We have just bought a new build house and are designing the garden. I want to have two large raised beds (waist height) aprox. 5 meters long and 0.75-1m wide. I want these to last as long as possible and not rot or grow mould, due to serious allergies. The ground will be finished in top soil. What is the best material to make these from? I have found them in Fibreglass and have found a company that can build then with what they describe as "100% high quality recycled mixed waste plastics from post industrial and consumer use". Does this sound like the kind of this I want to be using? Would I want to have dividers in the 5 meter length? Thanks very much for your help.
