Since this is a detail about which I genuinely don't care, I'd probably choose the lowest price that I found acceptable. Oh, and I'd be sure to choose something that wouldn't chip easily.

I have eased, which I chose because of its simple, clean appearance. The fabricators put a slight bevel on the sink edge, which they said would help decrease chips. So far so good.

My choice was budget driven. When I saw my half bullnosed granite, I was very happy we didn't spend ton more money. It jus wouldn't have paid off.

I went with eased in my transitional kitchen largely because I read that it was easier than others to clean when wiping crumbs off the counter.

We went with half bullnose because we wanted something comfortable on the island for people to lean on and we didn't want any edge that liquid might travel down and under and down the front of the cabinet as may happen with a full bullnose.

I went with eased because Dh liked it best and it is what a lot of antique marble top dressers have and that's what I was trying to evoke with my sink run.

We also have a traditional kitchen. My husband wanted ogee, I wanted eased. We compromised and did an ogee edge on the island and eased everywhere else.

Eased edge also. I like the nice neat look of an eased edge.

Eased, but specify rounded corners. Carrie B's post illustrates this. It's a very traditional look and works really well with marble and marble like materials.

Eased with rounded edges. Looks more "modern" than the other finishes - but not in a "modern, sleek, cold" kitchen way. Just in a "2016 keeping up with the trends" kind of way. I think it looks really nice in kitchens with more traditional elements, like you described you'll have in yours - because it lets you do the traditional elements but adds some freshness, so you avoid it looking like your great grandma's old-timey kitchen!

Pencil on the last one...bull nose on this one...both "free".

We also went with eased edge, it looked clean and modern.

Sorry to hijack - Jancy - what are your pulls?

@jpmom - They are Amerock Westerly Pulls - Satin Nickel. I really like them and the way they feel when using. Love the fact that they protrude out a little further than others I've tried so fingers don't touch the cabinets.

If you want an edge that's sure to chip and is difficult to repair get the ogee with the 90* at the top instead of the round-over.

Joseph, what edges do you like and recommend?

Jancy, is there a link to your kitchen? I would like to see more pics of those pulls. What knob did you use?

Ditto kelleg's question -- which edges are likely to chip, and which are less likely? I'm thinking of soapstone, and eased edges are too blocky for me, but I don't want to choose an edge that's going to chip all the time. (Some chips and dings are acceptable. I like soapstone with a lived-in look, but not a bashed-up one.)

I did kind of like the demi bullnose. Joseph, what are your thoughts on this edge? Is it out of date? What edges do you do most often?

I don't have a link to my kitchen but I'll post a few photos. My kitchen is so small I really can't even get a decent picture! Plus I still need to paint what little walls I have! I just took these with my iPhone and the color really looks off - cabinets are white.

Jancy, great pics. Thank you. Your kitchen looks fabulous! You should try to get a full pic. I know I would love to see it. Great finishes. What size are the pulls on the big drawers? I like bigger pulls like that. Also, I love your countertop. What is it?

kelleg I tried to get a pic, it's a small condo kitchen so not to easy to get it all (which isn't much!) in one shot. I just measured the pulls but I can look up the exact ones I got for you if you like on Amazon where I ordered them. I ordered a few different sizes and preferred the bigger pulls also.
My counters and my 2 walls are Aqua Veneto Quartzite. It really is pretty in person and the veins have sparkles. I still have to paint and finish my under cabinet lights. All wired, ready to go but just waiting for the time to do it!

Kelleg this is a picture of the same knobs and pulls. I used them also at my boyfriends place that we're doing over. Can't remember the sizes there but if you want to know I can have him measure them tomorrow or when I get down there in a couple of days.

I'm not being flippant, but I always liked the edges that paid the most. Anytime a fabricator can get a customer to upgrade he's making money.

Virtually all the edges mentioned here are classics and never go out of style. Get the one you like.

I don't fabricate much anymore but when I did standard eased edge was probably the most popular and probably remains so because it's the least expensive. With stone tops, get as big an edge radius at the sink as you can. I repair pencil edges constantly.
