Alex...I have used some Vintage Tide liquid Mitch sent me (NOT "he").... 1-2 TBS., and I was fine, even in the Miele. Let me know how you like it!! :)

I bet they each smell different, thinking this because one is Vivid and the other is + bleach. The Vivid is older, but PG did tell me once that it was all advertising and ingredients etc are exactly the same in them?...that's been a while though.

The date on the bottle I picked up tonight was 2012. It's definitely a discontinued variety. There are 2 more bottles left at the corner bodega if it's any good.

It is discontinued..but I was told by P&G only the wording was changed and that the ingredients stayed the same for a short while. I think the scent changed shortly after P&G went back to calling it Tide With Bleach....Alex's would be a different scent if P&G was correct during that call. I know the powder Tide Vivid changed scents after the name changed back to with Bleach. ..lol..is this making sense.

LArsi..maybe I'm mistaking someone else with you but I think you tried Tide with Bleach Alt several months ago but can't remember if you liked it. I'm almost pisitive it was you. Lol

Well, mine was fine. It didn't suds, but I also don't think I used enough to do any good. I had a small blood stain (from shaving) that would have easily come out with Cheer or Persil and it's still there after this run. Next time I'll increase the dose and monitor suds. As for the smell, it's pleasant -- old school Tide liquid. However, the only Tide fragrance I really like is the old school powder. Liquid fragrance doesn't do a whole lot for me. Now, the bleach smell emanating from my dishwasher with the Cascade powder? That's a smell I can get behind :)

And Larsi. Hold onto that Liquid. It's wonderful for soft, fresh cotton sheets. Really. It cleans well, and rinses easily (most of the time). Tide plus Bleach Alt (in Clean Breeze, and Original) & Persil Universal was all I used for towels & sheets, for the longest time.

It might not contain oxygen bleach, but it has a strong enzyme cocktail which performs well. Plus, since it has no zeolites or carbonates, it leaves fabrics very soft to the touch :)

Mitch...it left the bath towels fabulously fluffy, soft and smelling so clean and fresh. I can see using this on sheets, as you say in the above post. It really does smell so fresh, and yes....enzyme cocktail. Seems to be one of the few good remaining P & G liquids!!

I actually used this back when it was available in small 5 load bottles to wash my wedding dress, and the results were fantastic! Pretty much everything came out with no pretreating. However I personally can't tolerate the scent - gives me a headache every time.

Does this stuff have peroxide? I know it has 4 enzymes in it..pretty good...i think only Tide Pods have more enzymes but also have a horrendous scent...I can see it doing a great job.
