Daylily Alphabet 2012--The P's & Q's
Comments (19)Now P is a really good letter. Look at all those beauties! Floota, we might know you would have at least one beautiful Q, Quasimodo huh? Okay, lets see: Philistine Champion (Thanks Rita!) Patricia Snider Memorial rebloomed twice for me last year: Peek a Boo: Possession of Obsession: Photon Torpedo: Persian Melon: Pirate King: Please Say Yes: Passion's Promise: Polkville Princess: Purple Maze: Pink Gingham: Parrot Jungle: Pink Pristine Beauty: Purple Honey Creeper: There are already at least a couple of pretty Priman Screams and Palace Garden Beauty pictures, so I will refrain from posting them again. This is more than enough anyway. kay...See MoreThose wonderful "W" daylilies, let's see them!
Comments (29)Thanks for the information on Richard Norris updating his website Cindy. Your Pigment of Imagination under the "P's" is still rattling around in my brain. I just wish I had more room. Your picture of Web Of Intrigue is sure pretty. I like the soft yellow background color in particular....Nan: I like that color combination on Wickedly Wild and Wonderful. Good form and edge on it too.....Karen: Woodside Amethyst is nice also. Really a lot of great W's.....Maryl...See MorePRECIOUS *P* daylilies 2017
Comments (51)Mantis- I've been able to find many earlier Ellison introductions, but not so much with his latest. I think Bob just sells seedlings now on his website. I have bought two of his seedlings, both very nice. One was later registered. I found several of Bob's lilies at Hornbaker's Garden, including some not registered and listed by their garden name. Also, Nate Bremer at Solaris Farms sells quite a few registered Ellison daylilies, including PROFOUND LOVE. She is a cross between two of Bob's benchmark introductions; STUNNED BY GRACE and FOR YOU ONLY. All three are beautiful diploids with the classic Ellison ruffles....See MoreP and Q daylilies 2021
Comments (37)Boy, I miss a day and the P's explode. In no order: Mantis: Papaya Gum Drop is new to me. Hope to see more of it this summer. I think my favorite though is Patagonian Sunset. Nice color, good shot of plant. Laura: Pacific Mariner shows promise. Brad: I always like your Paige's Pinata. It and Smokey Mountain Autumn are two of my favorites of yours. Good luck on the surgery. How long do they predict for recovery? JRB451 (is there a name we can call you by other then code?) Penny Lane looks fantastic in your clump shot. Good one. I hope to see more. Nan: Princess of Alexandria is glowing. Love it. Kay: Pink Tarantula is an eye catcher in a clump Debra: All your pinks of course. Special thumbs up on your picture of Pink Extraordineire (that's a long word). David: Polly Ester. Big LOL and an interesting greenish color. Prairie Pink Lace is new to me and I really like it. Pam: Patricia Snider Memorial takes such good photos. Nice one. SHERRY: I've always liked your pictures of Pizza Crust. I doubt if the color would hold here, but for you it struts its stuff. AND Pandora's Box. I've had her for decades and in the ground too - not my usual pots. I think she spoiled me on eyed daylilies. Every time I see one I think of Pandora's Box and she's done so well for me why add more........... I hope I haven't missed anyone. So many good ones, but I've got to finish dinner now so need to run.................Maryl...See Moresherrygirl zone5 N il
