This is Agreeable Gray, Extra White and Gauntlet Gray. I actually think it would be a mistake to go too much gray on the body. You will already have a gray roof. Canvas Tan is a little grayer than Patience. I would not use those garage doors shown above. They are a modern design and your house is closer to traditional. I also think the wood grain and side windows when combined with stone would look too busy. I hope one of the professionals will speak to the door as I am just a person like you. What is the name of your HOA? Stay away from Unique Gray. It is lilac color.

I like the color of the house right now. It looks like a stain, rather than a paint. I would try and match that color, although, think you may have to go solid color stain, since the stain on there is in pretty bad condition. The house has a rustic look to it, and I would play that up with the colors.

Id do a semi flush or a recessed at the entry. over the garage id do a simple down light. Appreciate the feedback! Excellent comments. Still not sure what will be decided since it is more a family group decision...which makes it tougher. I've heard Sand Castle, Cottonwood and Summer House Beige (all Sherwin Williams colors). Tomorrow it could be something else. Depends on which way the wind is blowing. @Debbie Downer, good question on stain!! We are hiring a painter to do the job and they are aware of what needs to be done. Concerns are valid ones for sure. The older we get the less maintenance we desire to do. @wiseca9 the images you did help. I tried to do similar ones and they didn't come out as good as yours. @Jennifer Hogan and @Debbie Downer I am sure whatever gets picked once the house is painted there will be a desire to change some landscaping. That has changed through the years and I am sure it will again. It used to have bushes throughout. They can get out of hand over time. @mindshift honestly that is what is driving the possible color change. It is one of the, if not the, darkest homes in the neighborhood. It does make it easy to tell people how to find us. The trend today seems to be lighter colors. Many homes have gone to vinyl siding or painted different colors than original when built. I think ultimately once a color is decided (which it hasn't) and it is painted, it will look nice since it is long overdue. I need to post pictures here when it is all said and done.
