I think it is way too soon to be asking about exterior color. Get the frame up, let’s see the house.. right of the bat? I would go in this direction.

What are the HOA requirements? That's the place to begin...

You are moving into a home with HOA rules. You can't "tweak" them as you want to. Some colors may look different due to fading, or the homeowners may have gotten special permission at one time. If you paint a color that is not approved, your HOA can likely make you go through the expense of painting over it. At the very least, get your colors approved before you paint.

See if there are any loopholes in the HOA requirements i.e. do they state color requirements for *everything* (fascia, shutters, doors, porch ceiling, porch floor etc.) or, are the requirements vague enough that you could get around some things?

Is the house all stucco? Where is it located. Please share an elevation.

Claudia, you might want to show them the entire house mocked up in the color scheme that you want to use. The old saying, a picture is worth a thousand words, could help you get the color scheme approved.

I actually think it would be a mistake to go too much gray on the body. You will already have a gray roof.

Canvas Tan is a little grayer than Patience.

I would not use those garage doors shown above. They are a modern design and your house is closer to traditional. I also think the wood grain and side windows when combined with stone would look too busy. I hope one of the professionals will speak to the door as I am just a person like you.

What is the name of your HOA?

Stay away from Unique Gray. It is lilac color.

You really can't judge based on pictures online. You need to get samples and try them in the blazing sun you have there. The color on the paint chip will seem lighter when used on an exterior.
