Try a search for "CO oraganic soil" and also Craigs List which currently has about 5 free offers. For free you could rent a truck at $19 and come out well on the cost side. The other option is to fill those planters with leaves, grasses, newspaper and start again for next spring. Perhaps take the plants you have now and put them in pots for this year, if it is early for some cover them with milk bottles or large baggies with holes. We still have 3 weeks for planting most of our veggies. Gardening takes time, we all need the patience for nature to take it's course. Even planning ahead can find nature changing it's direction. If I could have my whole yard done this year it would be wonderful, but reality is this won't happen.....so I remind myself that patience is at the head of the list. We just got our tile! We were also skeptical of ordering from Tile.Expert, but the online reviews and local pricing quotes on tile we really liked convinced us to give them a try. We've been planning far enough ahead on our remodel that a 9-week lead time was workable, and we were excited to have our small but heavy (1,377lbs!) pallet of tile delivered this week; with the freight driver noting that the tile was really well packed compared to some he's seen. The boxes were each tightly strapped to ensure no rattling or movement, then wrapped with a very strong, very thick shrink wrap that kept everything solidly in place, and then all that was strapped down further for it's trip from Italy to the PNW. We unpacked all of it the last two days to find there was not one single broken tile in the shipment, and it was exactly as we'd ordered, at a price well under what we could have gotten locally (we had local tile shop quote on the exact same material, with our designers discount, and it was still significantly higher). We'll try to post some pics once it's all installed in a couple of months:) but wanted to share our experience and recommend the tile.expert folks in the meantime!

I would first recommend at least looking at the Lily Auction. We have ordered from sellers there for many years and honestly can say I have been disappointed only a couple of times. It's a good place to get a sense of what daylilies are on the market. Bonnie Nichols at Oak Hill is excellent as is Teresa Roth from Roth Daylily Farm. Many people are buying from sellers on Facebook. There are several groups that feature a selection of sellers. There is no way of telling which sellers are good until you give it a try. Some of the Facebook pages are Daylilies & Seedlings Sales Page (that's Elaine Seifert's page but other sellers, including me, use her site). Other pages are A Dollop of Daylilies Auction Page and Daylily Classified, Buy, Sell, Trade Wanted among others. Daylily Deals of the Day is the page that offers Selman/Simpson daylilies, but be aware that their prices are quite high. You get nice plants, but you pay for them. I have ordered from Oakes. They are reasonably price and I have been happy with what I got. You might want to steer clear of Brecks, Gilbert Wild, and Smoky's. I just ordered a plant from Smoky's. I didn't pay much for it but it was tiny. Like Mantis said, many people buy from the hybridizers. Many hybridizers sell only their own plants and the prices are higher because many of the daylilies are new releases. Mike Derrow and Steve Williams are two hybridizers whose plants we like. I will be having a sale on Facebook in early August (hopefully). We are reducing the garden so we will be listing 30-40 varieties on the Facebook page, Daylilies & Seedlings Sales Page. We sell only our own intros on our website, cherryhillgarden.plantfans.com. One final word about price. Don't expect prices to be super cheap. Personally, we won't dig a daylily for less than $10-$12 anymore. It is just so much work (dig, wash, label, pack, take to post office) to prepare them for shipment that is isn't worth our time. Nancy
