Comments (44)I've delayed answering because I didn't want to disappoint everyone, but I wasn't able to go due to illness. Woke up that morning with a migraine-type headache and spent most of the day in bed :( But please don't think your advice was all for naught, because I have an even more important event in a couple of weeks with the Historical Society of the U.S. Supreme Court in D.C. I'm going to wear the Nordstrom jacket dress above, but I need to buy jewelry - I'm thinking pearls? Thank you all for your help!...See MoreHelp!!! chandelier size dilemma for dining room!
Comments (13)Thanks so much for your opinions! Wow...I must say that I'm a bit surprised from the responses! For some reason, I totally thought that I was going to get more "go with the smaller" - but it seems that the larger is the favored choice here. Just 1 more thought to throw out there...given the table width is only 38" - a 32" dia chandelier would mean there would only be a 3" "space cushion" on each side for those seated in the central chairs. I know the rule is that the light should hang at least 30" above the table...but do you think this will interfere & people might hit their heads at all? I'm super excited that you are all helping me to make a decision. I've been so wishy-washy about this...worrying that if place the order, and get it...it would not be the right size...and I could only imagine how much of a hassle & costly it would be to ship back to exchange. And thanks for the compliments on my selection - i REALLY love it, and hope it is just perfect in our DR. Thanks!...See MorePlease help with selecting size of dining room chandelier
Comments (2)nice! no, I do not think it is too large at all..... the single bottom crystal adds a couple " to the overall ht and can probably be hung 28-29" from the table if you want alittle more space between the chand and the ceiling......See MoreNeed help on style and size of dining chandelier
Comments (0)Hi I need help deciding on the style and size of a dining chandelier. I just moved into a new home in Florida . It is a great room concept. So kitchen, dining and living areas are all one large room. First dilemma, the size of my dining table It is new and without a leaf it is 44x72 With one leaf it is 44x92. (Picture shows table with one leaf) I think it needs to be at 92. Seems too small without leaf. Thoughts please. So depending on size of table in this open format room What size of fixture. I have a tray ceiling for a 10 ft height in dining area. I am thinking antique silver chandelier as it would go well with the black buffet and I have silver accent pieces. The kitchen backsplash has some silver inset tiles. I like the drum shade look as well as some antique silver transitional pieces. I have one socket so 2 fixtures are not an option. Should I go with a longer oblong chandelier as opposed to a round or square. Picture show one of the drum fixtures I saw and liked. But it is 24 w x 17 h . Also tyle of pendants need to coordinate on large kitchen island. Thank you...See Morekelleg69
