What to do with 18ft walls??!
Comments (20)You ladies are so gracious and FABULOUS! ::clapping:: I am working today and keep popping back to check in. I am getting excited now with all the possibilities. Since I already have blue accents for that room, which also ties into my blue kitchen, can we stick with a lighter shade of blue rather than gray? My couch and loveseat is a beige and it's the one thing in the room I have no plans to change... anything else I'm up for. The room is only 15x17 and we made some changes to the original floor plan that I think may have set off my problems with the balance of the room. The fireplace was not suposed to be on the main wall. And tho I love the look of the couch directly opposite the TV, the fireplace makes that difficult to work. So, I also have placement issues along with the whole color/tall wall thing. Lindy, your makeover photo is amazing! Do you have a program that does that? DH is a landscape contractor and has design software that he takes a digital pic of the clients house to make an "after" picture. It's an amazing tool for us who are "visually impaired". I have to admit, if I can't see it, I can't visualize it. :) Susy, do you have a pic posted on your tall wall room? Should I stand on the top floor to try to get an above pic to show a better visual of the whole room? Please be kind tho ladies, the room is so embarrassing....See MoreFinal Kitchen Reveal - Thank you GW!(lots of pictures!)
Comments (119)Hello. I know I'm coming to your kitchen party late, but your kitchen is very close to what I am thinking of installing. Maybe you can answer a few questions? I have almost settled on the Cambria Buckingham, but I am worried it will make the kitchen too dark. I am having cabinets made, the stain will be very similar to the cabinets you installed. My floor is a white/off white porcelain tile (existing). I don't have can lights, only pendants over the islad, sitchen sink and light from west facing windows. I would love to know how you feel about your backsplash a many years later? I am thinking of using a plain subway tile, but worried it is too plain for the gorgeous Cambria. Thanks for any help you can throw my way!...See MoreFavorite garden photos from last year
Comments (78)harryshoe, it's nice to see you here again. I used to use photobucket before GW became Houzz, but it won't work for me any more to do it that way. The way I do it now is to click on the Houzz Photo icon. Then I go to my photos on my laptop and resize the screen to fill only the left side of my screen. That way I can highlight the photo I want and just drag it over to the Houzz Photo screen. It takes a few seconds to show up and then I hit "insert." That gets it there. I can still write and add more photos (up to 10) until I submit the whole post. I hope you can figure out what works for you and that you will join us once again!...See MoreBackordered GE Cafe appliances?
Comments (2070)@HU-699694957 I also submitted my rebate form July 2022 and still no pan. Was told end of January they were expected to ship no later than the end of February. Well end of April still no pan! I guess they are as rare as the Cafe induction ranges. I do love the range- well worth the wait. The camera mode on the app doesn't work but it's not a game changer for me....See MoreAlisande
