mixing worms with corn based compostable cups
Comments (2)I vermicomposted a cup. It came out the other side uglier and weaker but not composted. Plus I have great wonder. The cups decompose but do they go back to nature? Or are they simply micro bits of plastic held together with corn starch, then the corn starch dissolves leaving the micro plastic in the compost? Thus I tossed the cup into the garbage. It was sad....See MoreWhat is cupping mix?
Comments (1)I have no qualifications to answer this since I have never cupped or sold a worm in my life. But I will give it a stab and if I get it wrong somebody will correct it. When worms are sold for fishing in small quantities like a dozen in a "cup" the worms need something to live in or bedding. The qualities of this material are it needs to hold moisture well and be fluffy. Vermicompost is usually not used for this. The material also does not seem to need food. From buying fishing worms in cups as I remember the material, this "cupping" material has varied from pebble sized dark claylike material to a peatmoss or stringy wood type material. I think the cupper or worm shipper uses whatever material they have around that is cheap and available that will hold a bit of moisture yet remain fluffy....See MoreLooking for 1/2 cup microwave safe cup or glass
Comments (4)I just put the milk in my coffee mug, microwave that, then pour the coffee into that mug. Repeat as needed. I also think this milk bottle creamer is cute, but it's larger than you want....See MoreMixing vertical bar pulls and cup pulls?
Comments (25)Hello, I have chosen cup pulls for the drawers and small knobs (25mm) for the cabinets. But I am not sure what to do for the panneled dishwasher and the panneled fridge.. My questions are: *Is the cup handle comfortable enough to open the dishwasher? *Would it be ok to use a bigger knob for the fridge (38mm) and the pantry next to it? .And what about using handles for these two ? Note : My kitchen is small to American standards , 3 drawers, cabinet under sink, dishwasher , single cabintet, in one wall then one cabinet, oven and mico with cabinet, fridge and pantry. The an island with 2 sets of 3 drawers and bin cabinet Thanks a lot!!! P...See More- 10 years ago
