Thoughts on Leather Chateu D'Ax Furniture and Cream Colored Leather

I am interested in a leather chaise by Chateau D'Ax that is in the Alessia collection. Does anyone have any information about this brand. It is a relatively inexpensive chaise so I don't suppose it is great quality.

It comes in brown and cream but I am concerned about the cream color because so many people have said that jeans leave blue dye and it is just hard to keep clean. Does anyone have any experience good or bad with light colored leather.

My MIL has their sofa and two swivel chairs in white. It's holding up well. She bought them about 7 years ago if I remember right.

Good: You can clean them with saddle soap. Bad: Except maybe melted crayon, marker pen, etc., let alone broken pen in back pocket. Institute important mom rule: absolutely no coming near them with coloring implements. All crayons, markers, pens, etc., stay on top of the island. Catch one of them hiding the favorite color beneath his butt and make him sit on the floor for a month. Beets, blueberries, pomegranates might stain, but grown-ups spill too. It's that crayon under the butt that's the biggest problem. Just about everything else should come out if you get on right on it. Leather is nature's vinyl.

Thanks for all the replies! Linda brk--thanks for your pictures--your room looks great! After taking a hard look at my living room last night, I also agree that we have more than enough green in the room already and that a green sofa would not work. Robin dc I'd love to see your pictures as caramel, camel and tan are probably the best choices. My problem is that my accent colors are green and a dark orangy red and I think blue and red are better accent colors for chocolate brown, like in Linda brk's picture. Yes, I am thinking of getting more Ekornes. I think I have finally learned my lesson--the color and style of my two Ekornes chairs was dictated by a 400 lb gorilla couch at our old house and if I get more chocolate brown I will just keep going in a direction I did not like in the first place. My problem is that I don't think that chocolate brown goes very well with sagey greens, but I really can't change the green and the stressless chairs are too nice to not use and then I don't have enough decorating sense to imagine how it could all be pulled together! Thanks again for all of the help!

I love black and brown. By all means take the sofa and chair - and that sweet, sweet dog. You can put together so many combinations of color with the black and brown that you might not be able to do with other combos. This room is stunning, at least to me. Outsideplaying - I currently have SW Eaglet Beige and SW Lotus pod sampled on the walls. They are both sort of a beige/cream. My trim is a weird color so it was hard to find a paint that didn't look odd. Kwsl - Oh, I love your pillows so much! I actually looked that up, but worried that it may be too much for curtains with 5 windows and a large/bold print. But I'd definitely consider for the pillows or window seat cushions. In person, is it more muted or more bright? The representations seem to vary so much online. On my screen, the two I found below look way different than each other and different than the one you posted! FWIW, I like the one directly below the best. Guess I need a sample of that too :)

There are so many jeans that seem to be saturated with dye, especially the indigo blue ones. I can understand your concern. I do have a pair of light colored leather club chairs, which are heavily used. I clean them with a good leather cleaner a couple times a year, and they still look great. I haven't experienced the dye issue, but maybe anyone with the oversaturated jeans haven't sat in those chairs.

Thanks also Lizzierobin. I like the cream color but still just a little concerned. People have even mentioned having problems with light colored leather purses and their clothing staining the purse.
