Same beach a couple of days later with very high waves. In fact I couldn't even get to the beach because of the high surf, took these pics from the parking lot.

Comments (17)LOL, thanks, Nicole. Yes, she is an amazing artist. You should see her stuff now! She did a painting of an eagle that you would swear you could reach out and touch it live!! Her attention to details is wonderful. She did my painting from a photo that I emailed to her. And that was her first attempt at oil painting. Prior she had done almost exclusive drawing, sometimes using colored pencils. She is an engineer by trade. Moni, I love your picture. Can you imagine the talent it takes to do something like that? 8 years agoCasey, very dramatic pictures!! I love all the pictures of the ocean. Can't get enough of those. Gazania, that looks like a really fun puzzle. Nice job. Mine doesn't have a lot of wave action. It is the Pacific Ocean at Sea Ranch in northern California.

8 years agoA walkway along the edge of the ocean on the island of Madeira, the first picture shows the scale as a couple narrowly avoid the spray from a medium sized wave.
the second picture show one of the largest waves during the 5 minutes our tour spent there.
I wonder why the tour driver didn't want us to try to walk the walkway.
