Totally off-topic post...careful!
Comments (19)No, it's in a big pot on wheels. I leave it outside unless temps dip below 20. I have found that leaf damage begins at that temp. No doubt it would survive at much lower temps, but it would defoliate. It basically stays indoors during some of December, most of January and some of February because it is too much of a chore to bring it in and out every day. The rest of the time is easier to manage as only a handful of very cold days are expected. x...See MoreTotally off-topic
Comments (18)At one time we had 3 Rottweilers- that's over 300 pounds of dogs. But they were truly gentle giants with sweet dispositions. The best part is that they're not an energetic breed- our previous dog was a German Shepherd who lived and breathed tennis balls and Frisbees. Our rotties would play ball or fetch for about 10 minutes then they'd be quite content to come inside and loll around for the rest of the day. I love my dogs but they're not allowed on the furniture or upstairs. I tease my DH and tell him that I know he won't be sleeping alone if I leave this earth before him - because he'll immediately invite whatever dog we have at the time to sleep with him....See MoreTotally Off Topic and Just Because
Comments (5)I LOVE Cat Man Do, saw it for the first time about two years ago and keep coming back to it for a good laugh. We have cats and that is so true. (Not the baseball bat but how they wake you for food even when the bowl is not empty. I'll have to view the others. I have seen I Can Has Cheezburger? but not the other one. Also had a good laugh about Rhymes With Orange in the Sunday paper because it so describes what my cats do. Unfortunately it's not available in the archives yet but it showed a bunch of animals falling into a bed fitting perfectly together, though in different shapes, and fitting perfectly right up against the human, who is lying wide awake on his crowded bed. Below is the caption "Petris" (like Tetris, for anyone who has played). My cats hem me in almost every night....See MoreTotally Off Topic---My horses :)
Comments (8)Hi Kay, This is exactly the place for all the off topic things we want to talk about! So nice that GW realized we might want to chat about more with each other than just painting. I'll head over to check out your farm site, bet those ponies are so cute!!;o) Good luck on cutting the gourds. I've seen some really pretty designs on the web and in magazines. Hope you are going to do the cutting first--just in case, would hate for something to go wrong and ruin something you've already painted! Wouldn't that be awful? Can't wait to see your next projects.
