I sold 14 plate flowers in December
Comments (11)Patting you on the back, crete! You've worked hard & organized this new sale! Good for you! It's always a great feeling to see your GJ (garden 'art') go to someone's gardens! DH & I were driving thru a neighborhood this afternoon (while waiting for a pizza) & here we saw one of our 'barnwood butterfly houses' mounted on a big post out front w/a couple white painted deer for Christmas decor! What a smile it brought! Surprise!!! So, keep up the good work, crete! TFS! Jeanne S....See MoreEucryphia tree flowering in December

Comments (10)digger, There was nothing blooming 4 days ago when I last checked. I'm guessing it probably is not common for the snowdrops to be blooming now, or is this their first season? I'm not familiar with them.... (don't have any) I did do some 'Googleing' and found this link. It describes Single and double snowdrops Snowflakes and Aconites...something I had never heard of b4, and now probably need. I see they are in UK...hmmm will have to find them in the US or trade for them. Are you by any chance familiar with the snowflakes and aconites? Comments (8)Colleen, I'll check on the mystery bush with pink flowers. It's not the only mystery bush - the other one puts out rather nice red and yellow flowers and is to the right of it in the picture below, which was taken May 2010. Some of the plants in the front yard grow very rapidly, including the two flowering plants mentioned, but also the agaves and the plant with the magenta flowers. We had to take out the New Zealand grass because it spreads too much, and we had several clumps of it. It does make some nice orange flowers in the summer, but we don't need three clumps of it. I have another hibiscus in a wine barrel planter in the back yard that makes the largest flowers, but it's not blooming now, even though it has the largest branches and most leaves of all of my hibiscuses. When I can, I collect hibiscus flowers to make tea....See MoreRhamel (aka teengardener1888)
