Geometric Wallpaper for First Floor Half Bathroom

I'm on the hunt for modern, geometric wallpaper for our first floor half bathroom and haven't had much luck looking at Sherwin Williams, Lowe's, Home Depot, Wayfair, Anthropologie, Thibault, Osborne & Little, Wallpaper Direct, and other wallpaper websites.

My criteria have been:

No Moroccan-inspired patterns -- They are pretty but not what I'm looking for.
No beige tones
No gold tones (since the house has silver/nickel accents throughout and no gold)
No base color of gray or black (since the rest of the first floor is gray, and I see the bathroom as an opportunity to introduce more color)
Teal is ideal, but I'm willing to consider other colors (especially in blue/green tones)

Examples:

I love this print but it breaks the no gold rule. I like this one as well, but the colors aren't vibrant enough.
This teal print also has gold, unfortunately.
I liked this print on my computer screen, but the sample wasn't "wow" enough, though I may still consider this one if all else fails.

Am I being too picky, or does my dream wallpaper exist? Are there other websites I should be scouring?

This one might read as Moroccan to you (ogees), but it didn't to me.

I don't know if you're being too picky, I mean if you have a vision and know what you want, sometimes that's half the battle, however on the flip side, being so rigid with your ideas can often limit your choices so much that you end up missing out on things that you might have liked even better than your original plan.

Also, gray is a neutral and can easily be used as a back drop to any other colors you introduce to the room so it's not going to hurt the room at all to have a little gray in it. Additionally, since you already have gray in other rooms it can help keep the flow from room to room from looking disjointed and tie all your spaces together.

If you really love the first print then you should use it and not let some silly rule get in your way! I hate rules like that, when it comes to decor, they are waaaay too confining.

I forgot to add that on my monitor the picture of the print you love doesn't have any gold; the color that isn't blue on my screen is a dark or muddy gray.

Hi Sochi and Kristin, gorgeous wallpaper projects! I am in correspondence with several Italian fiber glass wallpaper suppliers now and all of them have different waterproofing methods. The main issue I am finding is that the substrate needs to be white in color and smooth. Sochi mentioned the contractor used Schluter KERDI-BOARD but it is orange, so how did you eventually get it white? Krisitin what did your contractor do for substrate? What products were used to waterproof the wall before the application of the glue, wallpaper and sealants? My other concern is that the drywall or cement board (depending on what to use) has to sit on top of my shower pan so I fear it will absorb water is not properly waterproofed. Any guidelines and suggestions will be highly appreciated. Alex

As a real estate appraiser I would advise to try to keep it. It will reduce the valuation by a few percent. If I were to appraise your home, I would now have to compare and adjust it from a 3 bathroom home to a 2.5. That's anywhere from $2,500 to $5,000 adjustment downwards. Understand that I don't know where you live or your real estate market. Even though there is no bedroom on the floor, it's a very usable space. At the very least, I'd put in a shower. You just never know when someone will lose their mobility. It looks like an older home. If your laundry room is in the basement, you may want to reconfigure it to bring the laundry up to the main living area. That would be an improvement in utility and the only reason why I would consider eliminating it. Hard to see everything, but you could reconfigure the doorway/entry and take over that vestibule area.

Maybe skip the wallpaper and just paint. What color are you painting the rest of the house? Gray? Cream? Spa? Maybe it will tie into your yellow tile. I liked this idea..paint a pale gray and then add a yellow and gray patterned Roman shade on the widow. White rug and towels.

Are you renting this place out, or is this a rental that you are residing in? In either case - imo, the enhancement that would make the most difference in the space would be a new vanity light, more updated, with more style. And if you are the tenant, you could possibly change out the current light (hire an electrician if your landlord won’t put it in for you), and keep the landlord’s fixture to return when you leave. As a tenant, I would not paint walls. That is really the landlord’s job. I would also absolutely not paint the vanity. That is the landlord’s property. If you are the landlord, I don’t think painting the vanity a bright, taste specific color will really help your cause. The existing vanity is nice enough, and it is a good neutral element in the space. And if you are the landlord - definitely no wallpaper - and especially no bright colored, very specific/personal taste oriented wallpaper. No one wants that in a rental. If you are the tenant - honestly, I would not bother with the wallpaper. You can bring in vibrant color with a shower curtain and/or towels, art, etc. If you are the landlord, please let the tenant choose and purchase their own shower curtain; it is not necessary for you to provide one. If this is an Airbnb - just a simple, white plastic liner, such as used in hotels. But if you are the tenant, and you feel you absolutely have to put up wallpaper - for an accent wall, the vanity wall is usually the best choice in most bathrooms; and imo it would also be the best choice in your bathroom.

Did you look at Kravet, Schumacher, Stark, Donghia, Cowtan & Tout, Holly Hunt, Thomas Lavin, Brunschwig & Fils, Kneedler/Faucher ... if you don't find something you love from one of these companies ... then maybe you are being too picky! ;-)

The Robert Allen showroom in LA will take any fabric and turn it into a wallpaper ... endless possibilities.

I don't get why you can't have any gold in the wallpaper just because your house has silver tones in it. Your wallpaper does not have to match your hardware.

Gold as a description of a shade of yellow is very different to me than a metallic gold. I would get a sample of the one that does not list metallic gold

I agree with the previous 3 posters--the hex pattern nosoccermom posted is shown with a table with gray metal legs and a chair with chrome legs. And it works, gold or no gold.

If the room isn't that big, what about a stencil? Some of them are quite amazing these days, and the pattern does not look that difficult?

I'm not seeing gold in any samples you posted...beige, but not gold. Big difference. Also, there is nothing wrong with beige and silver or gray. In fact some very lovely rooms I've seen make use of that color combo. Be that as it may, if you don't want beige, then don't get beige.

The colors I see in that first linked pattern are light teal, dark gray, mint green & a sort of pale terra cotta...
