text on pictures?

Wondering if someone can either guide me, or let me know where to find info on adding text to pics I have saved on the machine. I would like to put them in a pdf and mail to whomever. I am new to this sort of stuff so need real baby steps, and appreciate any help someone can provide.

I do this all the time example below
All you need is to download FREE" PhotoScape" a photo editing software and this one is a good one.

Windows OS includes Paint for editing pictures, which has a simple text tool. No need to download/install anything further if you already have it.

deb, your pictures are online but you didnh't put the file name in the photo address. If you will right click on where a photo should be and then click on properties, you will see that it gives the address for the page, not the graphic. The address should be the address that's there with the image file after the last / .

I checked out the photos last night, Moni. Well, most of them! lol I thought I could just llok at the pictures but I ended up re-reading the whole thing! You sure met a lot of interesting people. I like that you bought the honeymooners a wedding present! LOL It's nice being in a 'community' isn't it. Meeting up with other bikers and you have so much in common, probably seems like you know them! I haven't checked out Mels yet! Your photos are fun! thanks! We were just out at the ocean last Saturday. We went to Westport and walked around. visited Washington's tallest lighthouse. The couple that were volunteering there are from Tennesee! Paint is no where as good as PhotoScape or even Picasa, yes we all have paint..

I agree with dadoes, MS Paint is already on your Computer, very easy to use. Shady101, click on the Image Below to be able to read the Text I've typed using MS Paint! Even though the Image I've posted Below is a Screen Shot of MS Paint, it is a Picture and MS Paint will work just as well with your images/pictures.

appreciated your response, will have to take a look, and see what I can work out of it. I guess I was doing things wrong, had Paint, and the text in Word doc., when I went to retrieve, the text was gone, and so was puzzled. Have a lot to do andneed leisure time to work on this. I will be back for more info, if I can't get this into my head. Thank you folks, I might just download your program, puter nut, I need it simple for sure.
