goatster, I sent you an email with a few thoughts on the humidity thing...I read my Little Giant instructions and curiously they don't mention the humidity range for my model 9200 'bator, just to keep the wells filled, etc. I think the thing with the styrofoam incubators is that if the humidity is off, there isn't a whole lot you can DO about it. I did read here about someone who solved their room temp/drafts/fluctuating humidity issues by placing their incubator inside a closet during the incubation period... I'm going to fire up my incubator here in another week or so and try for some Polish chicks, now that I know my two Polish girls have been discovered. :) I'm still hoping you'll get some latecomers from those eggs...I feel so bad that you only got 5 chicks. :( I'm thinking about scanning the Little Giant instructions and adding them to my chicken site...I wonder if that would be of interest to people...? Are you on antibiotics? I always take pro-biotics too -- want to avoid 'other' problems. Hope you'll bounce back fast. I came to Maui with a sore throat Jan. 4 and also waited until I had a little fever to go to a doctor. No strep, just rattles in my lungs. We played with Prednisone for a week; no improvement. I took my last of 14 Leviquin yesterday. Seems I've had pneumonia. Hoping the cough doesn't return now that I'm off the antibiotic (which was a Big Nasty).

Fran, please don't be impressed with me . . . it was my late husband who went to Yale (undergraduate and graduate). I'm much less impressive! LOL His class generously pays the reunion fees, including accommodations, for the widows. The classmates feel that having the widows attend completes the class. It's a very nice gesture. I took advantage of it five years ago and had a wonderful time. Dartmouth is another excellent (and beautiful) school. I'm impressed with your DD!

Thanks for the good vibes people. I made pancakes for DD and her sleepover friends just to distract myself. The inspector came in the afternoon and walked around for a good hour with my GC. A couple of electrical misses - smoke alarm in the family room outside the bedroom door, some 220 circuits not having an arc (I think this is something for preventing short circuits I think). He was not too thrilled with us reusing vintage windows to keep the look uniform. He would have preferred to have seen tempered glass etc.. But did not cite that. Re-inspection for the missing pieces on Monday and hopefully occupancy permit then. I did breathe a tiny sigh of relief. I was very worried about my creativity in the Kitchen. My GC had felt several things there had a potential to be an issue including toe kick drawers, jumper cables for UCL led bars, drawers under cooktop and DW under sink. None of that seem to have caused an issue. Honestly with all the trouble we have been having with the GC, I am looking forward to getting him to close on the punch list and get out of our lives. All I want to do is move in, unpack and stay and home for a few days and let the happiness sink in. Hopefully just a couple more weekends I hope. I am shopping for hand soap to connect to the NeverMT.. that is a sign of confidence right!
