11 years agoWhile photographing a cemetery yesterday, I came upon this unexpected sight. It was sad . . . the deer had a badly broken leg and appeared to have internal damage, undoubtedly hit by a car. But somehow she made it into the cemetery, where she died.
If I hadn't found the deer, which hadn't been dead long, I don't know when it would have been found. The cemetery is old, and I don't imagine it attracts many visitors. A stone wall surrounds it, so the deer wasn't visible from the road.

11 years agoPoor deer. It always breaks my heart to see injured and dead deer. I know they are destructive, but they are also such beautiful and graceful animals.
Very nice pictures everybody. I am not quite ready to go to the cold side, so I am putting up a picture of the million bells I had on the porch this year.
