Anyone regret marble tile in shower?

The new master bath is roughed in and insulation/sheetrock happen next week. This is an addition to my 1939 house.

The vanity (RH Odeon in white) has a marble top with 6 coats of sealant. I selected it for the demi-lune shape to go with curves of the refinished 1933 pedestal (skirted)l tub.

The floors are to be gray ceramic "wood" to be laid in a herringbone pattern.

Right now, I have selected subway marble tile for the shower walls and marble hex for the shower floor. It is the same price as beveled white subway from my local tile shop (not a big box store). I used the white subway in the upstairs full bath and it's lovely, but I want the master to be nicer than that bath.

My concern is maintenance of the marble in the shower. Before I purchase the marble, I'm doing a sanity check here. Stay with marble, or go with white subway?

Thanks
