sad wondering jew... please help. :(
I have a wondering jew that looks very sad, it's droopy, some of the stems and leaves are falling off, and it's looking very leggy.
I bought it last fall at our local Walmart and it was full and beautiful! i had it indoors through out the winter and early spring facing the south east window, which it have very good sunlight all morning. but i started to noticed that it was drooping and the leaves and stems are falling off in the mid winter. i kept on pruning all the dead leaves and stems off. but it wasn't as bad till i brought it outside all summer.
i kept it on a small table beside my spider plants in a part sun part shade spot where the sun doesn't burn it and i continued on pruning it every time i see crusty leaves and sprayed it with the hose when need to, but it seems like it got worse when i bought it back inside for the season... is there anything i can do to save this poor plant? poor thing needs help! :(

Basic winter needs are temperatures above 55 degrees, enough light, humidity, watering when dry, fertilizing (but less than during summer) and pest control when needed. Btw by no means am I a professional, but this is what has been working for me. I have 10 meyer lemons that will be ripe in the next 2 months and I can't wait to eat my first homegrown lemon. Comments (134)Thank you oakley...you said it better than I . I am a believer in people . I have had two brothers commit suicide and a son that has struggled with mental illness for decades. Deciding to write a person off because they have performed in a way that is abhorrent to the rest of us is a knee jerk reaction. It has taken me decades to realize that someone else's pain can be and likely is greater than mine. I will never know what moves them to the actions they commit . 8 years agothank you for your replies. it's been indoors for 2 weeks now and it seems to get worse, but i'll take your advice on cutting the stems, rooting them and putting them back with the mother.
i have done it before and i got 2 plants out of it. one i gave to my twin sister and the other is in my room on my dresser.

8 years agoI dramatically up-sized my mass of this by putting pieces on the ground here, with other Commelinaceae family members:
Fantastic on the blooms, Josh! I can't get any of mine to bloom, makes
me crazy. It did once, around 2012 & that was it. Did you take any
pics of the blooms? FWIW, the roots on this never go more than an inch
below the surface when in the ground. One could fill most of a hanging
basket with empty bottles or something to take up most of the space,
