Outlook Web App slow or "times out" before access

I access Outlook through the web app to get my work e-mail at home. Have never had a problem with it finding the server immediately until about two weeks ago. Now half the time I can't load it because it tries and tries to find the server but then times out. The other half of the time I can get it, albeit with a minute's waiting or so. The question is, what happened? My home system has not changed--Centurylink service and modem; one year old HP laptop running Firefox. Accessing the same web version of Outlook at work works perfectly and nothing seems changed there. How do I begin to address this? Thanks!
