Am using these essential oils for scar
Comments (4)Did you use the aloe when the scar was forming? That's Aloe's main function, to help healing and preventing of scar tissue during formation. I am a person who forms keloid scars, so I am rather hopeless about it. My sister sat on a heater at that age and burned her fanny, and the scars lasted 10 years...then *poof*... but then I have seen a friends scars from when she was 4. I think your idea was best, I think scarring is better than skin grafting which kind of creeps me out. Then, she'd have 2 scars. I'd keep up what you are doing. I looked everything up, looks like a good combo. Also, you might try rice bran oil... it has natural sunscreen properties, and you want to keep the sun off it for a couple of years, or it will turn dark and never match with the other skin....See MoreEssential oils - anyone used them in garden?
Comments (5)I used to have ants invading a house in California. I traced them out through the wall, up the fence, along the fence to the back fence, and they disappeared down the length of my neighbor's fence. I never did find where their mound was. I got rid of them completely with a mix of molasses, sugar, and yeast. I mixed 1/2 cup of molasses and 1/2 cup of sugar with a teaspoon of yeast. What a mess. I prepared "patches" of goo on cardboard and placed them in the middle of the fence run on my fence. For a few days they ignored it. Then they discovered it and cleaned the plate. They ate every bit of the stuff. I started to notice fewer and fewer ants. There were still enough to clean one more helping (about a tablespoon) before they disappeared. I put more out and never saw another ant. Knowing what I think I know now, I would speculate that the ants took the yeast home where the yeast "infected" their other food supply, and they died from not getting enough food to eat. Or the food may have become poisonous to them. I will NOT speculate that they ate the yeast and blew up. I believe that to be a myth. This formula only works for ants normally attracted to sugar. Many ants are not. For those I have had mixed success mixing ordinary corn meal with boric acid. Usually just dusting some boric acid in the ant trail works as good as anything else....See MoreOrganic essential oils for hom and garden/sylviatexas
Comments (5)I just noted that I wrote I wasnt putting a essential oil recipe in there for cleaning wooden floors, but there is one in there. Note though, that I havent ever used that recipe as I dont have wood floors, so I cant 100% say it wont take the shine off. If you want to try it, just do a test spot in a hidden area. Also, I dont know if I can give people my e-mail address if they want a printable version of this? Or my environmental group on myspace? Can I? Will someone please tell me so that I can put this info down if someone wants me to send them out a printable copy? Oh, and sorry it took me so long to get this up online sylviatexas! Thanks, sammie...See Moreusing essential oil or fragrance oil
Comments (8)Well unfortunately with florals..you'll get quite a variety of interpretations of the scent. I personally like a Plumeria that I think is actually a Dupe of Bath and Body Works. Which is a blend of things, not just the "scent" of the flower. However if you are looking for a "truer" plumeria, you might want to look for a scent listed under Frangapini. Again I think almost all fragrance oils that are florals are blends, not "true" single "note" scents. Check out Oregon Trail Soaps..I'm pretty sure that Susan and Juan have devised some spot on florals though....See Moretinam61
