I attempted to uninstall/reinstall Firefox on our Win7 computer today after suddenly, Firefox wouldn't start because it was supposedly missing some file. I suspect that it may have been caused by a little Firefox update. I had just seen an update for Firefox on my Win10 computer and I assume one was likely also sent to the Win7 machine.
I Uninstalled Firefox and used Explorer to attempt to download a new copy directly from Mozilla, but got a message that my security settings prevented the download. I temporarily deactivated security settings on my Avast program but I continue to get the security block message. I checked Windows Firewall and it was inactive too. Whats the problem here? I suggested that DW use Chrome for now. Perhaps she and I would get used to it but we are usually on Firefox.
