Burnt Synthetic Fabrics In Dryer-Itchy Skin

tehan35

I recently washed tons of laundry at a landromat, and I believe I may have dried everything on a much too high heat. There is considerable shrinkage. Anyway, now a lot of my clothes are making me itch and I'm noticing strands of what looks like burnt hair woven into the fabric. Could this be burnt polyester? If so, does anyone know if there's something I can do to get the burnt strands out efficiently? I can pull single ones out easily, but I washed nearly everything I own, so going through everything with a fine tooth comb isn't practical. Thanks
