Living Room Furniture Arrangement
Comments (13)Thanks everyone for your suggestions! I had no idea this was a craftsman, so I appreciate you sharing this info! I will check out the Houzz ideabooks. I was able to take some measurements, and included a photo. Any suggestions on where the sofa would look best? If I did the sofa and two chairs, where would the chairs go? @jck910 thank you for talking me out of rushing to the store! I know I likely wouldn't have been happy with the purchase since I still don't have a good vision for the space @apple_pie_order There is a large screened in porch on the other side of the window with the white covering (see attached photo). The porch is the front of our house. The previous owners had green cloth-like drapes over the screens to block out the wind (we will remove those once the snow melts). @decoenthusiaste I've been told the hardwoods under the carpet are in good shape so I definitely plan to rip out the carpet. Unfortunately my husband likes the carpet, so I may have to wait a few years before he'll let me take it out. There are original hardwoods upstairs in a few of the bedrooms and it looks beautiful!! Thanks for the tips on the paint color! You guys are amazing! I'm so thankful for your advice. I really had no idea what to do with this space, but I'm starting to get a few ideas thanks to your help. Any other suggestions are welcomed!...See Morehelp with living room furniture arrangement
Comments (41)I liked Gcubed's comments posted yesterday on furniture arrangement using the pieces you have and expanding the seating pieces into more of the rectangular LR space & moving the TV wall unit. It makes the most sense bc it utilizes the pieces you have in the space you have into a different arrangement. It also allows for walkways into & around the seating spaces. I'd give that a try before doing anything else and I took that feedback as very positive & exactly what you were asking for in ideas. I like to move things around in my own home bc it refreshes things & highlights different pieces of decor as well as gives me a new outlook which I need from time to time!...See Moreliving room furniture arrangement - help!
Comments (13)Give it a try and see if you like it. Idea # 2: -sectional against the wall with the single window (but chaise is on wrong side). Problem with sectionals!) -tv on stairs wall (or maybe it could fit where the charts are) -chairs a sort of separate venue by the fireplace....See MoreHelp with living room furniture arrangement
Comments (39)I still think that there is just too much furniture for the room size. However, if you are feeling the need to keep most of it in there, try this. Move the switch the couch and loveseat and then put two of the chairs on either side of the fireplace angled like you had them. Maybe that will work better, maybe not. Your pieces are lovely and I know we all understand your frustration having gone to a designer and still having issues....See Morevoila
