Comments (2)What is on the front wall (to the right in your drawing)? Are the units cm or inches? I don't see the problem, other than that you wish it were larger, but I might be missing something int he details here. Does the TV have to be where drawn?...See Morehelp with living room furniture arrangement
Comments (41)I liked Gcubed's comments posted yesterday on furniture arrangement using the pieces you have and expanding the seating pieces into more of the rectangular LR space & moving the TV wall unit. It makes the most sense bc it utilizes the pieces you have in the space you have into a different arrangement. It also allows for walkways into & around the seating spaces. I'd give that a try before doing anything else and I took that feedback as very positive & exactly what you were asking for in ideas. I like to move things around in my own home bc it refreshes things & highlights different pieces of decor as well as gives me a new outlook which I need from time to time!...See MoreBought a beach house that is need of HELP!
Comments (6)Hi. Sounds like you've got big plans already. I see a lot a really large furniture in a relatively small space. Are you planning to keep both tables, I see one in the kitchen and one in the dining room. The dining table looks massive in that space. I suspect there are leaves in it that I'd remove unless they are in use to free up some space. The hutch in the dining room looks too large for the space but may be better if the table leaves are removed. I'd also look for some new window coverings. Your ceilings don't look too high so you will likely be able to find stock curtains that would work. You may need to get blackout liners for them depending on which way your windows face and how much sun you get. Replace the ceiling fans. If you need fans, find some more modern ones without the frilly glass shades for the lights. Remove all the pieces on the walls, they are all too small and look lost. Are you planning to keep the carpet? I'd choose a hardwood floor in there if it were mine. For furniture, look for lighter looking pieces. Smaller condo sized pieces are probably going to work well. Here are some ideas from Ballards. They have many choices for upholstery so you can decide on your favourite colours and make paint choices based on that. A nice three seater. Low arms help with it not feeling bulky and open legs, no skirt. Just a bit minimal, ready to be customized with your choice of fabrics and cushions. Here is the 2 seater version. You'll need to measure out your space and see what pieces fit. Matching chair. I wouldn't choose the same fabric for all pieces but that's a personal choice. I really like this spool chair and ottoman. Not showing that fabric as a choice necessarily but the style of the chair is lovely. And the wood works well with the wood tone on the legs on the sofa etc. You might consider a wall mount television with a small console beneath it as that will also free up space. You can get a swinging wall mount so that it can be flat against the wall when not in use, or swing out depending on where people are sitting....See Moreshirlpp
