Need help finding 2 accent tables for living room
Comments (7)I think you will have to be careful because that ottoman is very clunky looking with those delicate looking tables maybe something more simple with a bit larger legs would work, if you put an arc lamp in the corner behind the sectional , pull the chair forward with a lamp on the table at that end of the sectional add some drapes from floor to ceiling and some art it will be a nice space. IMO a bit more color in the ottoman could have been nice too . Use an actual color from the ottoman to choose fabric for the drapes.Maybe an end table like this beside that end by the chair...See Moredecorating help? table delivered and doesn’t go???
Comments (69)I’m not a “pro” although maybe I could buy that title but I think the tile in your kitchen is gorgeous and I think “bland” and “generic” are unwarranted and unfair terms to describe your lovely home. I think everyone loves to fawn over “unique” homes that are 30, 40, 50 years old when those homes were just towing the trend lines too when they were built. Every time period has popular, prominent looks, they don’t magically become original 30 years after the fact. Sorry, rant. I’d say pick something you love that’s a little less dramatic and that the fam is happy with and just enjoy! Who cares about the “pros”?...See MoreAccent chair and decor help
Comments (30)In my photo the space between wall & chair back is 43” - more than ample walk space. This chair is very large with a 38” depth front of arm to back. Total space used is 6.75’ You said your space is @ 7’ so it seems like you have enough room especially since you’ll likely be looking at smaller chairs than the one I‘m showing you. But, that‘s the reason to place a cardboard the size of chair foot print in the space. To get a better feel for space the object takes up & see how the traffic flows around it, Remember too that with chairs some of the space they take up is with the slant of the back so it’s air space as well as floor space. I can’t tell what your space is between long side of coffee table & couch. I’ve read it should be no more than 16” to allow both leg room when sitting on couch & ability to reach & set drink down. If your space is wider than that, suggest pulling in to try out. That would also give you more potential chair space....See MoreFoyer table decor/Mirror help!!
Comments (4)prob something like this. make sure your mirror is at eye level. current one is too high and too small doesn't have to be a mirror. you could do a gallery collection or one, large piece of art. put some leaves in your vase. You have the perfect wall to do some type of wall decor. either a shiplap, or wallpaper, or paint treatment, or millwork. something! A little bit of color would go a long way. some colorful art/decor items? maybe paint the inside of the cab this blue color if doing blue art? try painting the inside of the console a nice contrasting color, and accent it w/other decor pieces. (example, if you did a dark color like black on the inside, you could accent w/white pots, milk glass or lighter color items) This is a china cabinet, but you get the gist. framed mirror lean a mirror and add some lamps....See MoreRelated Professionals
