Entryway table decorative accent ideas?
Comments (5)I assume given your choice in table, that your taste is more modern? I tend to skew traditional/farmhouse but I think a good, functioning entryway table should have a mirror above the table (or artwork, but I prefer mirror if it's a narrow hall, to bounce light around), a bowl or tray for keys and a vase with dried flowers, or fresh flowers that you rotate each week. Depending on if you need lighting there, you could also add a lamp. The rest is purely your taste. Pillar candles can look pretty too. Under my table, I have baskets for shoes, because with 3 children, I like them to take their shoes off before entering the house. I also add in seasonal decor based on the time of year....See MoreIdeas for accent pillows & decor to go w/drapes & rug in L. Room
Comments (26)lynartish, thanks for taking the time to "photoshop" in the pillows. As for the lighting in the room, that is the result of poor quality photo taking from my phone. I turned the lights on to help show of each one. Just a little bit of info: The window treatments are "set up" to keep "gawkers" from looking into our home. Unfortunately, our street has become extremely busy over the years, and we get a lot of people going by the front and there really isn't much distance between the front of the house and them. When we have company, we typically do pull back the sheers along with drapes. Apple pie order, I like the idea of repositioning/extending the drapery rods. If any of you ladies have photos of your living room, I'd love to see them. Maybe I could steal a tip or two from you....See MoreHelp with decorating ideas for tall wall near stairs!
Comments (17)@Filipe Agostinho I love both murals and big art. I have both in my home. The downside is they can be pretty pricey. That one is 24"x24", which isn't even that big, for $5200. Wow. I am a little surprised at that price. But that is a really cool painting. I love it. When I photoshopped that painting I didn't bother to look at the size. The photoshop was simply meant to give an idea of the possibilities....See MoreDecorating Ideas for Family Room - Accent Chairs
Comments (10)I would get your husband a tv for the kitchen. The big tv over the fireplace doesn’t look good (too big and top heavy and detracts from your adorable windows on each side of tv). If you place your tv on a console on your big wall I think it would improve the whole look of your room and make for better tv watching when actually in the room....See MoreRelated Professionals
