3 year old wall decor. Help with ideas. Photos of room.
Comments (8)I love the mirror. I also love removable decals for kids rooms ,they change what they like yearly when young. I also do what you did and keep the walls really neutral since they also change their favorite color about the same timing. Some pictures of her are nice and some place for books and toys along that wall would be great . keep all that quite low so she can reach it all and the decals above. The furniture is pretty fancy so I hope she stays a girly girl for a long time. I like more simple furniture in kids rooms but now it is there embrace it for now. I would also ask her what her favorite color is and use it with the pink. I have to say I hated pink when I was little and I still don't really love it, at best in small doses. I also love a chalk board down low for self expression and to save the walls and a bit later room for huge corkboard for posters, pictures all kinds of stuff kids collect. This is her space and IMO never forget that....See MoreHelp me decorate my fireplace accent wall
Comments (4)Not a pro, but here are my thoughts... I think your mantle is cluttered, I'd clear the small items and replace w/ a few, more substantial objects (a plant, a vase, large candle sticks, something seasonal, etc). The pic above the fireplace is pretty - but the dimensions seem off as it's nearly the same width as the fireplace, I wonder if it would look better 6-8 inches above sofa? The black picture frames are pretty, but they might be too high, double check they're at the right height - the middle of the art should be 57-60 inches off the ground. Maybe it's just the angle of the pic - but I'd center the sofa (facing the fireplace) and the rug with the fireplace. It's a real pretty space, clean & cozy :-)...See MoreHelp me w/ decor ideas for massive wall.
Comments (9)If you extrapolate on out with this chart, your sofa needs to be at least 11 feet away from the TV for optimal viewing. Sounds like a catastrophe in the making to me. I guess if your family are the ones in the front row at the movie theater it might work! I would throw up just watching a movie at that close range....See MoreHelp! Comments (16)Bergen Furniture - thank you for you advice, can you clarify? Do you mean move the mirror and lamps out of the room and use the 4 other pictures? Also, I should let folks know that I was going to make all 4 pictures white matted prints similar to the small clock tower print - I have that in 3 other styles so they coordinate). I'll move some things around and upload more pictures. Thank you!!...See Moreginatay124
