Help me with roof shingle color, please!

My roofer is going to be using GAF Timberline HD shingles. However, I can't really decide which color to put on! What came with the builders was Owens Corning estate grey but I was wondering if GAF weathered wood would go with it, or GAF slate color. I really need your advice! Thank you so much for your help!

GAF Slate

What is already on is Owens Corning Estate Grey

Personally, I like the weathered wood ones, but then again, I'm the guy; I don't pick 'em; I just paint 'em.

I don't like GAF, but maybe they've improved over the years.

I much prefer the weathered wood color, and also the shadow lines of the Timberline.

Have you picked a shingle colour yet?? We are having the same issue, our house has grey and pinkish brick (ftr, I'm new to this forum, but I have to say, and it could be my newness, but the fact that you can't just look up posts by members is sort of annoying, I'd love to look at how different members homes came together, but there's no way to go back and read them- in any obviously easy way!)

Yeah, I was going to suggest a nice slate gray as well. our house is a similar color and that's what we had put on a couple of years ago. I love the way it looks. I would just not go too dark. Keep it on the mid to lighter side.

Tbe sample boards say driftwood and moire black. That’s why I was asking. I am debating between driftwood and weathered wood right now. I am concerned the Driftwood color is too dark for my ranch home. Any input would be appreciated. Also what brand shingle did you go with?

Wait; I just reread this thread and the third picture says "What is already on".

The house isn't already shingled, is it?

Thank you for your opinions. The photos are from the builder's website- their colors are the same as ours. We just recently moved in, but we had hail storm. So we will have to replace the whole roof!

May i ask why you don't like GAF? In comparison to OC oakridge (not duration), GAF timberline is better choice, i thought.

I haven't used GAF in 15 years, so they may be different, but I found GAF to be (in the same warranty range), thinner than CertainTeed, and I found lots of inconsistencies in their sizing. The sizing thing, however, isn't your concern. I always liked CertainTeed better.
