I have the same problem. I purchased mine in bloom - two different varieties - three years ago. They have never bloomed since. I keep them in pots as they are not hardy in my zone. Also, I read that they like to be root bound. I fertilize each year and am hoping for some blossoms later this summer. I would like to know if there is something I am doing wrong. Mine are in full sun and have very healty foliage. I could try superphosphate but wonder why that would be necessary. I have also considered planting them in the yard and lifting them each fall. Any help would be appreciated.

I found the flower, its a douglas tritilea turnbull. I still would appreciate how to cultivate it if anyone has any tips. Thanks

I have just spent an hour updating it please click below: (including taking new photos) http://users.tpg.com.au/wpau/wilf&tina/ourbackyard.html There is a slight change of scenery so to speak as we have moved houses 3 times in as few as 2 years. But somehow our Agapanthus has survived the same cannot be said about our hybrid tea roses though. Our Mr Lincoln & Just Joey (bought from Swanes in Dural, Sydney) have both withered and died. So has a locally bought Gardenia. Our Agapanthus is truly amazing, it is bordering on the 'Believe it or not' category. I'm a lazy bugger and forget to water it most times of the week but somehow it is still soldering on. It's unbelievably hardy. I've read on sites including this one that it loves lots of heat & sunshine. Must be why!
