Also, on the package, it said " high quality heavy gauge stainless steel and very durable for cooking." Nothing about baking though. It was $35 but they had a lot of pans half off at Meijers so I snapped it up! :)

Mary, I have a stainless saucepan, same brand name, that I also bought at Meijer, at their outlet store. I like it a lot and it seems as sturdy and well-made as many of the other brands I own. I've never put it (or any of my other stainless steel pans) in the oven, though. I usually use cast iron for that, but really, I don't see how it could be a problem. I don't think I'd put the glass lid in, though, just in case.

Annie, thank you! I have seen SS pans that say "from stovetop to the oven" and that got me wondering about this pan. It is a fairly heavy pan so I will go ahead and use it in the oven and I agree, it is better to not use the glass lid in the oven. Thanks so much for your response!

Thanks lindac92. I know that with some stainless steel they say not to use a high oven temperature, like 450 or so. i'll be using 350 . Thank you for your response!

Do you have an Acemart near you? They sell professional grade everything!!! I work in a professional kitchen and have bought so many things there that we use in the kitchen at work. I know the stuff we use really takes a beating, so I know it would be fine for my own kitchen.
