I was born and raised in Southern Calif. and moved to the SF Bay Area in my 20s. Along the way, we spent 2.5 years in Europe (on the Continent, not the UK). Not an exact count, but I've been to (I think) 40 states.

For the original question, that makes one state and one foreign country.

I was born in Ohio and my husband Kentucky. I have lived in Florida when I was a child. As a family we have lived in Houston, Texas and Marietta Georgia.

Ohio, Virginia, Illinois, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Illinois again, (US Navy -California, Maine, Philippines), Illinois again, Wisconsin, Georgia, Wisconsin again, Illinois again, New Mexico and Illinois again. I have been in all but 6 states. Visited Africa, Europe, Asia, South America and North America.

Just Texas. I haven't ever even lived in a different town. I guess I'm not a wanderer.

O.K. Mississippi, Florida, Washington DC, Virginia, Tennessee, Mississippi again after 39 years away. Good to be home.

I was born in Maryland, lived in Texas, New Mexico as a baby/toddler, lived in Virginia, California, Nevada as a child. As an adult, lived in Arizona (two different times), Kentucky and Nevada again. Went to school and basic training while in the Air Force, in Texas and Illinois. So, 9 states. I've been to almost every state in the country now! One day I'll make it up north. All the northern states I've not been to yet, including Alaska.

I was born in California, moved to Utah when I was in high school, then I moved to Chicago for college, then down to Florida after graduating, and then up to Boston, and now I'm back in California with no plans on leaving. So 5!

Been to many. Lived in one. And a couple of foreign countries, though they probably don't count because they were never meat to be permanent moves. But I live in a big state. :)

I have lived in Texas most of my life. In my twenties I lived in Colorado, Spain and California while my husband was in the Air Force. My three girls live in Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee so I will be traveling more and more.

I live in a province but have never lived in any other city but the one I was born in. I'm either boring or live in the best place already. But honestly, never had any desire to move.

One, Kansas. Born here, but I lived about 18-months in Ontario, Canada when I was 2-years old. Moved back to Kansas just before I turned 4.

I was born in Massachusetts then later my parents moved to Illinois. When I got married we moved to California. Finally made it across mainland U.S.

I'm a Canuck, and have lived in 3 provinces - (1) Montreal Quebec; (2) Ottawa Ontario; (3) Vancouver Island British Columbia.

Both DH and I are natives of the Chicago suburbs and have never lived anywhere else in our seventy-plus years. We have spent some winter months in Hawaii for decades, but enjoy most of the rest of the year in our house north of Chicago.

My DM was a native of RI, and I spent some summers there as a girl. DH and I have traveled to the 'usual places' in the US, the UK, and on the Continent, but never the Far East, India, or Africa; we've cruised some.

This is all so interesting. For me just CA and one foreign country.

Just New York. But I have moved many times within New York State. Upstate NY, Brooklyn , Queens and Westchester.

One. Pennsylvania all my life.

I've lived in 4 states. Born in PA, then moved to Ohio, then to FL, back to OH and last to GA which will always be home. I love GA and the south.

Born in New York, college in Wisconsin, worked in Ohio, spent most of my married life in Massachusetts. Now I winter in Florida and spend the rest of my time in Massachusetts which is my favorite. I've travelled extensively but haven't lived anywhere else.

Only 1, Illinois. I have been in all the states but two and four different countries. I did stay in Texas two months last winter. Does that count? ;o)

I've lived in 8 states, my hubby lived in 9. We were not military, just followed jobs/schooling. Went from MN to ND to MN to IA to IL to TN to PA to CT to TN to AZ to ND. Retirement home is in MN. Much prefer the North Country!

Two. Iowa until age 15 and Missouri ever since. But I'm still an Iowegian through and through!

CA, KY, GA, MO, TX, so 5. I've moved back to CA after living in each of the other states. I hope I'm here to stay this time.

I was born in Washington, D.C., and lived there till I was 27, when husband's job opportunity moved us to a D.C. suburb in MD, where we lived for 35 years. Upon retirement, we wanted to get away from the urban areas, but not too far, b/c our three kids lived there. We chose Wild and Wonderful West Virginia, which was an adjustment for me, since I had always been a 'city girl'.

So, that makes one state--MD--and one 'District'.

Born in Kentucky, moved to New York age 2, moved to college in Indiana age 17, moved to Connecticut once the college thang was done (because parents had moved here in the interim). Still live in Connecticut, but will live in Massachusetts ASAP as house as built.

So... three going on four.

One. And no desire to move to another state. Desire to move elsewhere in the state, yes, but not out of state.

One, New York. One metropolitan area. My parents were born here. My grandparents either were born here or came here from Italy. My husband, born and raised in Ohio, calls it "The Pay to Pee State" because of the high taxes and outrageous Thruway tolls.
