I think I'd probably go with natural or light grout only because with the darker grout the pattern stands out more and can look a little busy. Really though it's all personal preference. Here is a picture that reflects samples with both light and dark

I did light grey and I liked my decision. My friend with white grout noticed it quickly went grey in *ahem* high traffic areas of the bathroom anyway. My tile setter wasn't the very best (about 95% there) and I think the last 5% where the seams weren't quite to my liking would bother me a LOT more with dark grout.

I would want the finished grout to be a medium gray, light gets dirty no matter how often you clean it. Having said that and from personal experience, I would pick a darker grey and hope when it is done it is at least medium in color. In our previous house we had tile professional laid and grout applied. I picked a medium grey grout, but not sure what happened, the grout was a very very light grey after it dried. Either the installer used too much water or what , not sure. In this house, my DH decided to do a back splash in our bathroom downstairs. We picked a light grey brick tile, and I picked a medium grey grout. We were careful not to use too much water when cleaning the grout off, but again the darker grey color I thought I was getting was a much lighter grey. I dont know what it is about grey grout but be careful.

Good points about the light grout. So what is natural considered? Light gray? I used natural in a different application and it is not very interesting to look at at all.

I ended up going with Delorean gray. The lighter grays looked too silvery or else kind of beige-ish. Dh happened to walk in and said he liked the Delorean, so I decided not to overthink it. They will finish tiling today and grout in the morning. Thanks everyone!

When you decide on a grout color, you should then order the next darkest version, because grout always dries lighter than expected.

I had a similar decision to make when we put in a black and white tile. I thought I wanted light grout, but our tile guy talked me into using black. Very happy with my choice. Here's a visual he used to convince me. My tile with black grout and white grout.

We have a wolf CSO wall oven which we use ALL the time every day. We also have a Miele 48” range with a microwave/speed oven. The speed oven is never used. Only the microwave function.
