I just bought the 30" freestanding Bertazzoni. I really do like it. I think the grade of stainless steel for the cooktop makes it easy to clean and I believe some of the forumites here are unhappy because of the poorer grades - that's my opinion. I live near the ocean and my Frigidaire that had a black porcelain top rusted. I haven't read about any of the appliances being 'lemon free' so I bought a 5 year warranty. The simmer burner does not go low enough but the power burner is more than enough for me and I often need to scoot the pan to another lower output burner. Meanwhile, I haven't been able to get used to the oven. The thermometer I purchased says the temperature is correct.

When I was pricing out my old kitchen design, the Decora was more expensive than the Kemper. I know Decora does come standard with plywood sides and full extension soft close drawers while these are upgrades in Kemper. I'm wondering if they priced those upgrades into your Kemper quote. Your choice of door style and color can have a significant impact on the final cost. In some cases, a special glaze or paint finish can be a 20% upcharge. In Decora, the Antique Bronze (cream w/brown glaze) finish was a 7% upcharge while the Eggshell & White paint finishes were a 15% upcharge. In Kemper, the Amaretto Creme or Toasted Almond are a 12% upcharge. You might want to take a look at buycabinets.com. They have a spec. book that shows the retail list prices for the Kemper cabinets. They call them Somersby. I'm not sure what buycabinets discount from retail is but Costco had a 67% discount off retail on Kemper cabinets for comparison. The Warwick door style is the same as the Tyson one in Somersby and is the second most expensive door style even more than most of the door styles in Cherry. If you love this door style, you're in luck since you can really shop around as Kemper, Schrock, Thomasville (Home Depot), Diamond (Lowes), and Somersby are all pretty much the same cabinets. For everyone that will not buy the house because of Hello Kitty, there will be one that won't because you used a specific tile in the bathroom. You should get what you want, and let the buyers worry about what they want. The finished mosaic is usually shipped glued to a netting material, and you can have the tile sub-contractor put it in when they are doing the waterline tile. Make sure you let your PB know that you have some mosaic's that need to be installed so he can include the labor and materials (mortar and grout) in the quote. Keep in mind that you may run into companies that will NOT do an exact Hello Kitty because of copyright concerns. In all likelihood for something like this, you will have to provide the image from which they will build the mosaic.
