WHite bugs in compost :)
Comments (2)In the warm weather, I see bugs in my compost too. Wolf spiders scare the snot out of me! And those big ugly white grubs freak me out! The worms are cool though. As for white flies, I don't remember seeing any of those, but I know insects are normal in my compost piles. :)Laura...See MoreIs there anything wrong with my plant?
Comments (7)Hi pinkmowl, I'm from Singapore too and I have a black prince! He does fine in the Singapore sun and heat, and i water about once a week when the soil dries out. In fact, I think i've not been giving him enough sun because I was afraid of sun burns. So I've been putting him out in the sun more! It rains quite a lot these days and plants may be prone to aphids and mealy. Be careful! Make sure to isolate the infested plants so healthy ones don't get infested! As i keep my plants outside my house, I put 1-2 moth balls near my plants (i put it in a container with the lid open so i can close it when I am near my plants and don't inhale it!). Sometimes i move them indoors if it rains for majority of the day. Once a week when it isn't raining, I will lightly mist my succulents with a mix of charcoal ash and water (make sure no water gets stuck on the leaves and all evaporates, or they may rot). I am not how well this method works but it has helped with some of my infested plants....See MoreWhat if anything is wrong with my Cactus ?

They are Stapelia, a succulent related to milk weed. Though, care for them isn't much different than care for cacti. Those are stems rather than leaves. They look like they are just old and corking. Not really a concern, I think....See MoreDid I do anything wrong trying to save my lovely Elm tree? Advise
