How many of your fruit trees died because of NE bad Winter?
Comments (2)I've forgotten the name of one I left out the last 3 winters after taking it into a root cellar for 12 years. never got a fruit from it. It died this winter also- it may have been Jiro. It was a good sized tree so I expect some suckers I can graft onto. I had a Sheng from Nick England that gave me fruit the second year, but I think I over taxed it and it died the winter before last even though I sheltered it. I have another he raves about that I will protect as long as it eventually gives me fruit but after one season it is still tiny....See Moresome pictures from my small Sansevieria collection
Comments (8)I wish I had had the room to keep my collection in that condition. I can't lift them now, they are all mature. They weigh more then I do. I should put 3 growths in a gal. pot so they would look like that and toss out all old growth. It would take me a year to do that, and I don't have the room. I would need a new green house. I just love your collection what is the big grey one in the middle of one picture. I notice that you indicate that 'Boncel' is a hybrid, I thougt so, it doesn't have a Latin name. Thank you for posting the pictures I really enjoyed seeing such a lovely collection. Norma...See MoreAnother betta almost dies because of my cat
Comments (5)There is this product called 'ssscat' which we use on our counters and around our plants. It's great, occasionally I feel bad for the cats when it gets them because it startles them so much, but after a few scares, they pretty much see the can and know to stay away because they know what will happen when it goes away. The bonus to it too, is unlike a water gun, they will never connect you and the punishment. After a while of having it at the screen door, and then removing it, they know to keep a small distance between them and the screen. My only tip is to have it go off before kitty gets near the fish, our cats got startled by it once when they jumped on the counter and the knocked a bowl over in the process of getting down. So if it's too close to fishy, your cat might end up taking the bowl down with it. Here is a link that might be useful: SSSCAT...See MoreDid somebody just mention collective nouns? because
