Strom Thermostatic Control Valve & Volume Controls for Shower
Comments (8)The differences are: One volume control plus diverter (depending on which diverter chosen) is you can operate any combination of the three fixtures independently or any combination of any two together, but at the same volume as the control is set to. Advantage, is lower price of material, less rough in work, less openings in shower wall. Disadvantage, more rough in work, less overall control. Having three volume controls will allow each fixture to be controlled independently so you can have all three fixtures on at once and be controlled at any volume setting independent of each other. Advantage, better overall control. Disadvantage, higher price due to one more fixture needed and more rough in work, one more opening in shower wall. In the end, more openings in shower wall can be dealt with easily so it's just a matter of cosmetics. Also the rough in work isn't much more when adding another fixture, therefore it's a minor disadvantage....See MoreHand held plus rainfall shower heads- which diverter?
Comments (2)Yes, they have Dual and Tripple Function Mixing Valves. Also when you converting the tub to a walk-in shower, make sure the plumber will increase drain pipe size from 1 1/2" to 2" at least for the 1st 4-8' from the drain to eliminate water puddling in the pan....See MoreArtos shower trim / thermostatic/ volume control / shower head

Comments (11)I'm in a similar situation planning our new shower (albeit in reverse; husband loves the rain shower, I prefer regular showerheads) -- have been looking into railed handshowers plus rainshower ceiling head combinations. I know what you mean about the multifunction showerheads which so often just vary the pattern of spray, which doesn't make up for the rainshower feel my husband wants. My fear is that a handshower won't stay fixed on the rail from the same convenient angle as a regular wall-mounted showerhead. (We used to have an older one by Moen that was always drooping, drove me crazy.) I see that there are a few options like Kohler's Hydrorail, which have both fixed showerhead and handshower on one rail, to which you could add a rainshower head on the ceiling, although three showerheads does seem a little de trop. I'll be interested to hear what you come up with!...See MoreAngie Buice
