this link is the model number you gave Package Includes if you look in the pictures the black thing that has the cord that plugs into your pc usb port is the receiver which was asked about, this one has a large one that sits on the desk not a stick type. Your mouse does need to be in sight line of the receiver for it to get the signal properly so make sure that receiver has not been moved or covered up or out of line of sight of the mouse. Also they all have reset buttons on the mouse somewhere and on the receiver if they get out of sync you can go through the sequence for that model to sync them back up. It may just be time to upgrade to a newer wireless mouse. This seems to be the sync procedure for your mouse and receiver. If you experience trouble synchronizing a device to a receiver, try the following. Removing the batteries from the mouse or keyboard. Press and hold the Connect button on the receiver for 15 seconds. Re-insert the batteries into the mouse or keyboard. Press the connect button on the mouse or keyboard.

I don't think I did use the CD that came with such. I think I went with the software that's available on their website. The mouse settings are where they were originally set at, to my knowledge. And the troubleshooting feature shows it's working normally. :-?

Is your personal info maybe being deleted automatically each time you log off the computer? Are you able to stay logged in at other sites? Of this I am not sure. Other sites are OK, up to 3 to 4 years ago this one was alright as well, now, as I am to understand, Spike no longer runs it.. The good news is that I pulled the scroll wheel and cleaned it - it was rather dirty. A mini but true vacuum would be nice for these delicate chores. The Logitech Trackball of mine is 5 to 7 years old, only the monitor is older in this system..

You probably need to push the reset button. That makes it look for the signal. Some have a little tab inside the battery compartment, with a divot you can push with a pen (though you can probably just use your finger). If there's a receiver, rather than just a little USB tab, there may also be a reset button on the receiver. If that isn't the issue, it may help to reboot so that the computer reinitializes with the mouse on. Trying a different slot was a good suggestion too, for forcing a reinitialization. Did you check the power level in the new batteries? Could it be low enough to turn on the lights but not run the mouse? Is there crud on the lens (optical) or ball (mechanical)? Did you check to see that the batteries are making good contact? I turn them in place sometimes to make it better. If all of that fails, check the manual. :) If you don't have it, check for a PDF on the Logitech site.
