Does anyone have Campfire rose?

This has to be one of the great fines this year. Perfect health so far, pretty leaves and nice strong colored bloom. The blooms last a long time on the bush and stay a nice color until they fall. Even did well on hot humid days. I've seen the blooms fade to a striped color. The color can get stronger as it is fading. Getting 4 more this spring. Sorry no picture I moved it up by the house to it's own bed. Where I'll see it every time I'm on the deck.

I too just purchased this rose this summer. I enjoy the different stages of the bloom and the different colors. I can't say the blooms last a long time though. I find they fade quickly. It could have been our weather though that did that. It is a very pretty rose.

I've seen it many times in the nurseries, the way it changes colours is lovely!

My mom lives in zone 5B (Northern Nevada). it gets hot in the summer, heavy frost and snow in the winter. She absolutely loves her 'campfires' and has two big ones right in front of the kitchen window. Hers might be some kind of a hybrid though, because they grow tall & less sparse that the average bush and were already planted when we moved into the house. Very very hardy, they come back every year and my mom literally does nothing but prune for 5 min in the spring and water lol. One spring, they were completely infested in aphids & lady bugs (we did nothing lol) and while most of the plants in the front yard died that year, these bad boys still bloomed continuously and then still grew stronger than ever the fallowing year. I've noticed the color and size in flowers can vary greatly, but all blooms are fragrant, long lasting and beautiful. not sure what kind of life expectancy the average Campfire has, but hers is deff 10+ years and counting. 10/10 - would recommend!!!

I feel poorly at times when I mention anthracnose on a rose because all roses are susceptible to anthracnose. I had read that Flower Girl was the only rose immune so I picked up three a long time ago. While I love this rose I can say for sure that she can and will get anthracnose if the pressure is high or the rose is stressed. My Campfires are four years old. Some are three and some are two years. We had a night time low of minus 33F. No snow cover or winter protection. All but one had a few canes with a tiny bit of heathy cane. One had the soil washed out with the crown exposed (my bad). It came back but took a while.

Hi, I have been searching for quite a while for this rose. I know this rose is susceptible to disease but I think it would definitely be able to grow in my zone. It would be really nice if anyone is willing to lend me a cutting of this rose.

@lucianob2022 My BN is very healthy but it would be best to check nurseries or rose societies in your area to be safe. I have grown BN as a gorgeous, medium large, free standing shrub. It could just be deadheaded (it’s a bloom machine) and pruned annually for shape and size. It’s not a big Noisette. Definitely shrubby, even as a climber. Carol

Thanks prairie... Thats the thread that made me look for this rose. What with the last two polar winters I've longed to have some cane left again. I also have a few seriously raised beds that I was having a difficult time finding a hardy enough rose for. So I spent time this winter reading the far north forum. Now we need a Campfire in several other colors. -)

Onewheeler... Maybe it doesn't have to last to awfully long to please me -) Anyway when it opened it's first blooms I wasn't for sure if I would like or not. It grew on me thou enough to get some more. I had her planted in an odd spot because the rose in her new bed had not grown back yet. They clearly could not take the raised nature of this bed. Campfire should do well here thou this was late in the season to have moved her.
