Rigo... Congrat's! Now you have a new tree. Your page doesn't show what climate zone you are in, but if you are where Winters get very cold, and that new tree was growing unprotected, you have a pretty hardy tree...and that's a good thing. It might be a "Brunswick". Post photos of leaves and ripe fruit cut from eye-end to stem-end, and include a 6" ruler. Forum members will probably identify the variety you have. I have a few started now in ziplock baggies. I marked the out side of the bag which 'batch' it is, but not each individual stem. Trouble is, there are some that I REALLY want to make it and others it doesn't matter so much. SO when I pull one out because of rot I don't know what I have left. Another poster had a brilliant idea. She uses nursery pots IN the bag. More stable, the soil does not crack around the stems every time the bag gets nudged, and you can put individual tags in each pot. And the bag provides the controlled environment you need. MUCH easier. The best of both worlds. I am not sure who mentioned using that set up, but if you happen to read this, KUDOS to you!

I was very concerned last night and appreciate all the responses. Hollysprings yours gives me pause. It was an 6ft header instead of what was suppose to be an 8ft header. And what we want to change to a 12 ft header. Who should eat the cost of the redo? What if we decide we don't want the 12 ft. We want what is on the plan. He'd have to redo it and eat the cost. Thankfully, our builder has done the right thing in our opinion. The moment the PM confirmed the framers framed the wrong size door anyway (and without the authority to start in the first place) our builder confirmed that we would NOT be charged for anything besides the vendors cost of the new sidelight. They will be paying for the new header for the larger opening (which was even more than we expected and a little confusing) and the framing company with cover the cost of all lumber and labor to fix their framer's mistake. We did point out the mistake and say "We are reasonable people. What do you think is fair to charge us to fix the mistake and add the new sidelight" because we agree with paytonroad that keeping a healthy working relationship is important. But when others go into great detail to explain why the builder shouldn't have to eat cost for mistakes it makes people like me weary and untrusting. Not to mention means a lot of gals like me are out there climbing over beams to measure window openings like a freak because they can't trust mistakes will be caught paid for by the right party. Anyway, alls well that ends well. Or starts well. Or is fixed after not starting well... adieu Thank goodness my gruff often unfriendly builder sees it that way too.

though im not sure the point of whats on the banners ... it is sure a great site block to the back of house next door.. made with just a few plumbing pipes .. and i love the washer .. lol .. the glass bottles look like they secured them with marshmallows and it just started to melt them together .. once you have toured enough.. you will start noticing things other than the plants themselves.. and that is where you find whimsey ... obviously.. you snapped the pix.. so you are well on your way ... my garden was on a national hosta tour... they came by on day 3 or 4 ... by that time.. nobody cared to see another hosta ... and i spent most of my time.. talking about conifers.. and garden art ... go figure ... and i asked one of the peeps.. and they said.. well we have seen all the hosta at least 4 or 5 times already.. lol ... ken
