Comments (1)'She' huh...ok. What you have is a Fukien Tea and I suspect you live in North America? What you have is one of the most finicky tropicals to try and grow/maintain outside of a tropical environment. They don't need much sunlight and will go moody with any major changes in temperature, humidity, etc. You've also started to do everything you shouldn't do to a suspected sick tree/plant...increase watering, feeding, move it outside to have it's (excuse me 'her') picture taken. Yellowing dropping leaves are a trait of the plant, especially in wet conditions. It is a tropical and should spring back over time. The pot looks like typical cheap 'malsai' pots, the 'soil' was probably staying wet and the pot was not draining well or much. Now that you know what it is you can Google and get some care information for 'her'....See MoreCan anyone tell me what kind of apple tree this is?
Comments (15)OK - the word allotment finally gives us a location. The apple (and it is 100% not a quince, even an unripe one) is still very small and until it is fully grown it is pretty much impossible to id it. You could take a sample along to your local Apple Day which is usually 21st October. It is likely to be a common cultivar given its age and position. The weed block is fine for keeping the plot from getting overgrown while you are clearing it. I used the same technique with my overgrown plot when I took it over 20 pus years ago. Just don't leave it down long term. Weeds will start to grow on top of it and you'll have terrible trouble getting it up again. Good luck with the allotment. My only real piece of advice would be to just do the next job, don't look at how much more there is to deal with - and be patient. GW is primarily used by growers in the US and their climates, crops, pests and techniques can be very different from ours so make sure you get UK specific information. But it is still a friendly and interesting site....See MoreCan someone tell me what kind of tree this is?

Comments (3)My immediate though was Stewartia pseudocamellia. But ID'ing just from a leaf can be tricky as a variety of species can have a superficial similarity....See Moreitphilip
