Electrolux 60 and 70 series washers now have the same 4.3 cu. ft.

Been lurking on this forum for a week and appreciate all of the posts and discussions regarding the Electrolux series washer and dryer. In the end, with all of the feedback and countless hours of research I decided to go with the Electrolux 60 series IQ-touch washer paired with Electrolux 70 series Wavetouch dryer. This seems to me to be the best combination given the ease of use of the IQ-touch on the washer, and the extra feature of reverse tumble on the Wavetouch dryer.

During this research, including reading here and other forums, detailing all of the specifications and manuals on the Electrolux web site, and surfing through the Department of Energy web site I was surprised to see that for 2015 the 60 and 70 series washers have the same D.O.E. capacity at 4.3 cu. ft. Electrolux now even lists them as the exact same cu. ft. I know these things are calculated in different ways, but according to the latest government spec and legal way of calculating washer capacity, these two series are identical as of 3/06/2015 (the date the D.O.E. tested and calculated these machines).

Also the Electrolux web site and literature has been updated to reflect these new measurements.

I figured this piece of information would be of use to this forum. As far as I can tell the only reason to get the 70 series washer over the 60 series is if you have to have Wavetouch, want 1400rpm vs 1300rpm spin, or if you need the Kidswear or Wool cycle options. Everything else seems to be identical. Just a heads up.
