5.5kg- equivalnet cu.ft?
Comments (11)dunwaukin, it sounds like your machine is about the same size as mine. There are washers I think about 2.6 cf and they take about 8 kg of laundry. I might be wrong here but thats what I learned few years ago when buying this twinky little wonder. Maybe now the sizing is different. I also remember, when my daughter visited w/ our grandson, it was pain to do laundry too. It just never stopped! I definatelly recommend bigger size for two or more people.Something like 3.5 cf makes more sense. My other fl is 4.00 and it's only two of us so we have two machines and I could not be hapier. I have option to do small loads in small washer or anything big or just bigger load in the other washer. This way I have no dirty laundry to sit and collect for days....See MoreElectrolux 70 series....where's Larsi
Comments (25)Not sure the Sears people have a clue! There is nothing in the service literature for WM8000 or this Kenmore Elite remake that specifies target temperatures. Big big secret I guess. The most obvious question is what cycle are you using with steam? The biggest factor is some cycles are much longer and adding steam option gives extra time for the heater to rise the water temperature. It's also very dependent on load size and initial fill temperature. But then again maybe your machine works like it's suppose to and mine doesn't. But honestly I have not be able to distinguish Steam Option vs Sanitary other than the higher water level with the Sanitary. I did notice regardless of cycle, adding the Steam Option seems to run some sort of over ride program and the water level is always lower. I think this is by default otherwise the small onboard heater would never be able to heat it. As an experiment I am going to run a load on Normal/Casual, Acela Wash enabled by default and Steam. It's target time is 1:30. I post back and let you know what temp was actually achieved....See MoreAnyone know about the Asko Pro Series Washer?
Comments (34)Yeah, the Asko is a compact, so it's another choice in that limited market. But the excitement here isn't about its compactness, rather its true wash temperatures, and 2000W heater. I'd consider it just for the temperatures, and the robust heater makes it more compelling. Cold fill is also appealing to me, because of my laundry corridor's distance from the domestic water heater. Incidentally, cold fill is the most energy-efficient way to operate. Not necessarily the most cost-effective, depending on utility prices. As a second washer, the Asko could go next to the utility sink in my basement, once I get a 240V 20A outlet installed. Don't even need washer hookups, just have to attach the hose to the threaded faucet and turn on the cold handle. The sink has an ancient manually switched sump pump. To avoid possible flood, or back siphoning into the washer, in case of carelessness on my part, it seems wise to convert to a modern undersink sump with pressure switch. That'll take some plumbing work, plus a 120V outlet for the pump. So I have some work to get done, before ordering the machine. Hoping to get that stuff started soon....See MoreRinse Water level increase on Electrolux 60/70 Series Washer
Comments (21)Have you ever done this? it sounds good in theory but the water does not go that far up the hose only air so this is a recipe for an overfill flood I would think. I added more(2') tubing....I barely( don't clog the hole) glued aquarium tubing into the black tube where the clamp is and used the clamp that was on the pressure switch to clamp the hoses together. The aquarium tubing slides into the black tubing with a little white glue on the outside end of the aquarium tubing. Then the aquarium tubing onto the pressure switch fits really tight so I did not use a clamp on that. Then the aquarium tubing can be folded or spiraled up and tied with a bread tie( making sure that there are no memory kinks in the aquarium tube) to get it out of the way. Then reinstall the pressure switch and click the connector back on. Good to go!...See Moregeorgect
