Comments (8)I'm not sure that you could find risers that are that short. Another solution could be to make a tuck in the platform of the bedskirt (the part that is under the mattress). I would make a 2" tuck down the center of the platform, and secure with safety pins. Depending on the style of skirt, you could pull it up closer to the headboard to shorten the foot end, or if that would interfere with the corners, you could safety pin up the foot end on the platform a bit also. Comments (10)Donna, if you're not finished with crawling around on the floor, I have some advice. Put some kind of cushioning under your knees. (Folded cardboard works well. If you use two pieces about as wide as your knees when you're on them and about 6" deep, you can move one ahead without getting up to reposition them - if that makes any sense.) Comments (2)A bedskirt may not fit over a platform bed frame. Have you tried it already? There are new 5"-7" foundations (not real box springs with springs) made to go with contemporary very thick mattresses.
